འདི་ནི་དུས་དང་པོར་བྱ་བའོ།། །།

that is how the first part of the ceremony should be performed.
དེ་ནི་དུས་དང་པོར་བྱ་བའོ།། །།

that is how the ordinand’s dharma robes that have already been cut and sewn are sanctioned.
དེ་ནི་ཆོས་གོས་དྲས་ཤིང་དྲུབས་པ་གསུམ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་པའོ།། །།

heard how the king of aṅga had been killed, prompting him to close the gates and take cover within the walls of the fortress.
ཨང་གའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཇི་ལྟར་བསད་པ་ཐོས་ནས་དེས་སྒོ་བཅད་དེ་ར་བ་དག་གི་ཁར་སྦྲེངས་ནས་འདུག་གོ།

and that, monks, is how the youthful, shape-shifting nāga first gained faith.”
སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཉན་ཡོད་ན་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཚལ་མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན་གྱི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་ན་བཞུགས་སོ།

this is how the petition is made: while seated, the monk says, ‘reverend saṅgha, please heed me.
འདི་ལྟར་བྱ་སྟེ། འདུག་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་བརྗོད་པར་བྱའོ། །དགེ་འདུན་བཙུན་པ་རྣམས་གསན་དུ་གསོལ།

and if he is, the postulant’s induction into the novitiate begins with his going for refuge and promising to live as a novice. this is how the postulant is inducted into the novitiate.
ཡོངས་སུ་དག་ན་སྐྱབས་སུ་འགྲོ་བ་དང་། དགེ་ཚུལ་ཉིད་དུ་ཁས་བླང་བས་དགེ་ཚུལ་ཉིད་དུ་ཉེ་བར་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱའོ། །འདི་ལྟར་ཉེ་བར་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། །
