དེས་དེ་ལ་མུ་སྟེགས་ཅན་ཞུགས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲི་བར་བྱའོ། །

you are not the owner, so you cannot change these permissions.
ཁྱོད་བདག་པོ་མ་རེད དེའི་རྐྱེན་པས་ཆོག་འཆན་འདི་དག་བཟོ་བཅོས་བྱེད་མི་ཐུབ

noble one, you are an accepter of alms but we are seekers of merit,
འཕགས་པ་ཁྱོད་ནི་བསོད་སྙོམས་བཞེད་པ་ལགས་ལ། བདག་ཅག་ནི་བསོད་ནམས་འཚལ་བ་ལགས་ཀྱིས།

ask him, ‘you are not a shape-shifter, are you?’
དེས་དེ་ལ་སྤྲུལ་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲི་བར་བྱའོ། །

while you are bound by all bonds, i have been definitively freed from all bonds.
ཁྱེད་ནི་འཆིང་བ་མཐའ་དག་གིས་བཅིངས་པ་ལགས་ལ། བདག་ནི་འཆིང་བ་མཐའ་དག་ལས་ངེས་པར་གྲོལ་བ་ལགས་ན།

for most people also view things thus and say such things, and in that you are just like them.
སྐྱེ་བོ་ཕལ་པོ་ཆེ་ཡང་དེ་ལྟར་ལྟ་ཞིང་དེ་སྐད་སྨྲ་བས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱང་དེ་དང་འདྲ་བ་ཁོ་ནར་འགྱུར་རོ། །

steady as you are, this group is eager to hear the reason for your smile.”
བརྟན་པ་ཇི་སླད་འཛུམ་པ་སྟོན་མཛད་པ། །སྐྱེ་བོའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་དེ་ནི་ཉན་པར་འཚལ། །

“these things that i have told you are but a rough overview of the foundations of your training.
འདི་དག་ནི་ཁོ་བོས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་ཆེ་ལོང་ཆེ་ལོང་ཙམ་ཞིག་བརྗོད་པར་ཟད་དེ།

“son, you are our only boy, beloved, handsome, patient, and agreeable to the eye.
བུ་ཁྱོད་ངེད་ཀྱི་བུ་གཅིག་པ་སྡུག་པ། ཡིད་དུ་འོང་བ། བཟོད་པ། མཐོང་ན་མི་མཐུན་པ་མེད་པ་ཡིན་པས་

‘o! you are a thief! a fool! an idiot! a robber!’
ཀྱེ་མི་ཁྱོད་ནི་རྐུན་མའོ། །བྱིས་པའོ། །བླུན་པའོ། །རྐུ་བའོ་ཞེས་

in the meantime, you are reborn in and cycle through 14,000 principal places of rebirth, 60,600 great eons,
སྐྱེ་གནས་གཙོ་བོ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཁྲི་བཞི་སྟོང་དང་། རྟོག་པ་ཆེན་པོ་དྲུག་ཁྲི་དང་དྲུག་བརྒྱ་དང་།
