by those who separate [the truth from falsehood] distinctly,
而使之分散，

(muhammad), stay away from those who turn away from our guidance and who do not desire anything except the worldly life.
你应当避开那违背我的教诲，且只欲享今世生活者；

and so that those endowed with knowledge may know that it is the truth from your lord, and so believe in it, and their hearts soften to it. god guides those who believe to a straight path.
（他这样做）以便有学识者知道那是从你的主降示的真理，因为他们信仰它，而他们对他心怀谦逊。真主必定要反信道者引上正路。

and when he brought them the truth from our presence, they said: slay the sons of those who believe with him, and spare their women. but the plot of disbelievers is in naught but error.
他把从我这里发出的真理昭示他们的时候，他们说：你们当杀戮与他一同信道者的儿子，只留下他们的女儿。不信道者的计策，只在迷误中。

and when he brought them the truth from us they said: 'kill the sons of those who believe with him, but spare their women' but the scheming of the unbelievers is always in error.
他把从我这里发出的真理昭示他们的时候，他们说：你们当杀戮与他一同信道者的儿子，只留下他们的女儿。不信道者的计策，只在迷误中。

when he came to them with the truth from us, they said, "slay the sons of those who believe with him and spare only their daughters" -- the schemes of those who denied the truth were futile.

then, when he brought them the truth from us, they said: "kill the sons of those who believe with him and let their women live", but the plots of disbelievers are nothing but errors!
