he keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
שמר כל עצמותיו אחת מהנה לא נשברה׃

behold, he that keepeth israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
הנה לא ינום ולא יישן שומר ישראל׃

he keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
לנצר ארחות משפט ודרך חסידו ישמר׃

a fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
כל רוחו יוציא כסיל וחכם באחור ישבחנה׃

when a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
בהיות הגבור שמר את חצרו והוא מזין והיה רכושו שלום׃

he will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
אל יתן למוט רגלך אל ינום שמרך׃

he is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
ארח לחיים שומר מוסר ועוזב תוכחת מתעה׃

the highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
מסלת ישרים סור מרע שמר נפשו נצר דרכו׃

behold, i come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
הנני בא מהר אשרי השמר את דברי נבואת הספר הזה׃

and he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will i give power over the nations:
והמנצח ושמר את מעשי עד עת קץ אתן לו שלטן על הגוים׃

but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of god perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
אבל השמר את דברו בו נשלמה באמת אהבת אלהים ובזאת נדע כי בו אנחנו׃

which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
עשה שמים וארץ את הים ואת כל אשר בם השמר אמת לעולם׃

and if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:
וכי יריבן אנשים והכה איש את רעהו באבן או באגרף ולא ימות ונפל למשכב׃

and he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. and hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the spirit which he hath given us.
והשמר את מצותיו יקום בו והוא בו ובזאת נדע כי הוא שכן בנו ברוח אשר נתן לנו׃

blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
אשרי אנוש יעשה זאת ובן אדם יחזיק בה שמר שבת מחללו ושמר ידו מעשות כל רע׃

and said, i beseech thee, o lord god of heaven, the great and terrible god, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
ואמר אנא יהוה אלהי השמים האל הגדול והנורא שמר הברית וחסד לאהביו ולשמרי מצותיו׃

he that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and i will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
מי אשר מצותי אתו וינצרן זה הוא אשר יאהבני ואהבי אהוב הוא לאבי ואני אהבהו ואליו אתודע׃

therefore said some of the pharisees, this man is not of god, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. others said, how can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? and there was a division among them.
ויאמרו מקצת הפרושים זה האיש לא מאלהים הוא כי לא ישמר את השבת ואחרים אמרו איכה יוכל איש חטא לעשות אתות כאלה ויהי ריב ביניהם׃

also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
ובני הנכר הנלוים על יהוה לשרתו ולאהבה את שם יהוה להיות לו לעבדים כל שמר שבת מחללו ומחזיקים בבריתי׃
