12 what man is he that desireth life,
12 ¿quién es el hombre que desea vida,

yet he desireth that i should give more.

and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

aye! man desireth that he may sin before him.
pero el hombre preferiría continuar viviendo como un libertino.

whoso desireth the harvest of the hereafter, we give him increase in its harvest.
a quien desee labrar el campo de la vida futura se lo acrecentaremos.

the soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.
el alma del impío desea mal: su prójimo no le parece bien.

12 the wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
12 desea el impío la red de los malos: mas la raíz de los justos dará fruto.

32 or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

11:37 and i will take thee, and thou shalt reign over all that thy soul desireth, and thou shalt be king over israel.

whoso desireth the reward of the world, (let him know that) with allah is the reward of the world and the hereafter.
quien desee la recompensa de la vida de acá, sepa que alá dispone de la recompensa de la vida de acá y de la otra.

and whosoever desireth the reward of the world, we vouchsafe unto him thereof. and whosoever desireth the reward of the hereafter, we vouchsafe unto him thereof.
a quien quiera la recompensa dela vida de acá, le daremos de ella. y a quien quiera la recompensa de la otra vida, le daremos de ella.

if allah afflicteth thee with some hurt, there is none who can remove it save him; and if he desireth good for thee, there is none who can repel his bounty.
si alá te aflige con una desgracia, nadie sino Él podrá librarte de ella. si Él te desea un bien, nadie podrá oponerse a su favor.

and he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith to them, if any man desireth to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
entonces sentándose, llamó á los doce, y les dice: si alguno quiere ser el primero, será el postrero de todos, y el servidor de todos.

and saul said, thus shall ye say to david, the king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies.
y saúl dijo: decid así á david: no está el contentamiento del rey en el dote, sino en cien prepucios de filisteos, para que sea tomada venganza de los enemigos del rey.

hast thou not observed those who assert that they believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee desiring to go to the devil for judgement, whereas they have been commanded to disbelieve in him; and satan desireth to lead them far astray.
¿no has visto a quienes pretenden creer en lo que se te ha revelado a ti y en lo que se ha revelado antes de ti? quieren recurrir al arbitraje de los taguts, a pesar de que se les ha ordenado no creer en ellos.

and saul said: speak thus to david: the king desireth not any dowry, but only a hundred foreskins of the philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies.
y saúl dijo: decid así á david: no está el contentamiento del rey en el dote, sino en cien prepucios de filisteos, para que sea tomada venganza de los enemigos del rey.
