carissimi omnem sollicitudinem faciens scribendi vobis de communi vestra salute necesse habui scribere vobis deprecans supercertari semel traditae sanctis fide
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
in quo qui benedictus est super terram benedicetur in Deo amen et qui iurat in terra iurabit in Deo amen quia oblivioni traditae sunt angustiae priores et quia absconditae sunt ab oculis nostri
That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
Carissimi, omnem sollicitudinem faciens scribendi vobis de communi vestra salute, necesse habui scribere vobis deprecans supercertari semel traditae sanctis fidei quam.
Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
