we have decreed death to be your common lot, and we are not to be frustrated

so why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, –
หากว่าพวกเจ้ามิได้อยู่ภายใต้อำนาจของผู้ใด และไม่มีพระเจ้าเป็นผู้มีอำนาจเหนือพวกเจ้าแล้ว

we have decreed death among you, and we are not to be outdone
เรานั้นเป็นผู้กำหนดความตายขึ้นในระหว่างพวกเจ้า และเราก็จะไม่ถูกขัดขวาง

and is not to be taken lightly.
และอัลกุรอานนั้นมิใช่เรื่องไร้สาระ

wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited
หากว่าพวกเจ้ามิได้อยู่ภายใต้อำนาจของผู้ใด และไม่มีพระเจ้าเป็นผู้มีอำนาจเหนือพวกเจ้าแล้ว

it is we who ordained death upon you and we are not to be frustrated.
เรานั้นเป็นผู้กำหนดความตายขึ้นในระหว่างพวกเจ้า และเราก็จะไม่ถูกขัดขวาง

though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself --
และไม่ใช่หน้าที่ของเจ้า การที่เขาไม่ซักฟอก

implore not to-day; verily ye from us are not to be succoured.

to replace them by others better than they; and we are not to be outrun.

indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed.

and the punishment seized them. indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
