ang duha nanagdalagan, apan si pedro hing-unhan sa usang tinun-an, ug kini siya unang nahiabut sa lubnganan.
so they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

ug si pedro miingon kaniya, "bisan pa kon mosibug silang tanan tungod kanimo, ako dili gayud hinoon mosibug."
peter answered and said unto him, though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will i never be offended.

apan si pedro miingon, "dili ko, ginoo; kay wala pa gayud akoy nakaon nga dili binalaan o nga mahugaw."
but peter said, not so, lord; for i have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

apan si pedro miingon kaniya, "ang imong salapi malaglag pa unta uban kanimo, kay imong gidahum nga pinaagig salapi mabatonan mo ang gasa sa dios!
but peter said unto him, thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of god may be purchased with money.

(kay siya nga nagbuhat pinaagi kang pedro alang sa pag-alagad ngadto sa mga may sirkunsisyon nagbuhat man usab pinaagi kanako alang sa mga gentil),
(for he that wrought effectually in peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the gentiles:)

apan si pedro mitubag, "tawo, ambut kon unsa kanang imong giingon." ug dihadiha, samtang nagsulti pa siya, mitugaok ang manok.
and peter said, man, i know not what thou sayest. and immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
