questa doppia evoluzione in due sensi contrari ha richiesto varie epoche, di diverse nature e gradi di spiritualità e di intellettualità, per costruire l'essere che oggi chiamiamo uomo. inoltre, l'unica legge assoluta, che sempre agisce e mai fallisce, che procede sulle stesse linee da un'eternità (o manvantara) all'altra fornendo sempre una scala ascendente per il manifestato, ciò che chiamiamo la grande illusione (mahâ-mâyâ), ma, da una parte immergendo lo spirito sempre più profondamente nella materialità e poi redimendolo attraverso la carne e liberandolo —questa legge, noi diciamo, impiega per i suoi scopi esseri di altri piani più elevati, uomini o menti ( i manu), secondo le loro esigenze karmiche.
