come root potete creare un link da /root a /home/root per poter salvere anche il suo contenuto. suggerisco fortemente di creare anche una directory /home/backup, nella quale copiare tutti i file di sistema che occorre modificare "a mano" (i file fstab, automount, ecc.) per poterli ripristinare dopo una disintallazione.
