hichi ndicho kipawa chetu.
“this is our bestowal.

hicho ni kipawa kisio na ukomo.
such bounty shall be unending.

na wapeni wanawake mahari yao hali ya kuwa ni kipawa.
and give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously.

malipo kutoka kwa mola wako mlezi, kipawa cha kutosha.
[as] reward from your lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,

hichi ndicho kipawa chetu. basi toa au zuia, bila ya hisabu.
"such are our bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked."

na wapeni wanawake mahari yao hali ya kuwa ni kipawa. lakini wakikutunukieni kitu katika mahari, kwa radhi yao, basi kileni kiwashuke kwa raha.
and give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, take it and enjoy it with right good cheer.

na ama wale walio bahatika, wao watakuwamo peponi wakidumu humo muda wa kudumu mbingu na ardhi, isipo kuwa apendavyo mola wako mlezi. hicho ni kipawa kisio na ukomo.
and as for the happy, they shall be in paradise, therein dwelling forever, so long as the heavens and earth abide, save as thy lord will -- for a gift unbroken.
