or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

耶 穌 就 來 拿 餅 和 魚 給 他 們
jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

約 拿 在 魚 腹 中 禱 告 耶 和 華 他 的 神
then jonah prayed unto the lord his god out of the fish's belly,

所 有 在 地 上 的 、 大 魚 和 一 切 深 洋
praise the lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

他 叫 埃 及 的 水 變 為 血 、 叫 他 們 的 魚 死 了
he turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

他 和 一 切 同 在 的 人 、 都 驚 訝 這 一 網 所 打 的 魚
for he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

他 們 下 了 網 、 就 圈 住 許 多 魚 、 網 險 些 裂 開
and when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

你 能 用 倒 鉤 鎗 扎 滿 他 的 皮 、 能 用 魚 脫 脫 滿 他 的 頭 麼
canst thou fill his skin with barbed iron? or his head with fish spears?

他 們 便 給 他 一 片 燒 魚 。 〔 有 古 卷 在 此 有 和 一 塊 蜜 房
and they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

耶 穌 對 他 們 說 、 來 跟 從 我 、 我 要 叫 你 們 得 人 如 得 魚 一 樣
and jesus said unto them, come ye after me, and i will make you to become fishers of men.

他 們 上 了 岸 、 就 看 見 那 裡 有 炭 火 、 上 面 有 魚 、 又 有 餅
as soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

你 曾 砸 碎 鱷 魚 的 頭 、 把 他 給 曠 野 的 禽 獸 為 食 物 。 〔 禽 獸 原 文 作 民
thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

打 魚 的 必 哀 哭 、 在 尼 羅 河 一 切 釣 魚 的 必 悲 傷 、 在 水 上 撒 網 的 、 必 都 衰 弱
the fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

神 就 賜 福 給 他 們 、 又 對 他 們 說 、 要 生 養 眾 多 、 遍 滿 地 面 、 治 理 這 地 ． 也 要 管 理 海 裡 的 魚 、 空 中 的 鳥 ． 和 地 上 各 樣 行 動 的 活 物
and god blessed them, and god said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
