with humility. how does the karma yogi do this? how is he able to live a life in this world without being trapped in the cycle of karma? the karma yogi is able to transcend karma, escape from suffering, by living in yoga. yoga means yuj or union. a yogi is ever united with the divine. whatever actions he performs, they are not inspired by his body, mind or ego. therefore, he becomes a karma yogi. a karma yogi has no karma of his own. al the karma he does si for god. in such a state, he is liberated from all past karma. he becomes a jivanmukta, one who is liberated from all suffering while alive. he lives as a stitpragya, a steady intellect that keeps him in that state of consciousness of who he truly is. thus, he lives a life of satchitananda, experiencing eternal, divine bliss, living in the ever consciousness of the truth. a karma yogi has achieved the ultimate goal of life. he has moved from self-realization to god-realization. he experiences god everywhere, in everything. at death, the karma yogi is not reborn. he is liberated and united with god. the goal of human life is not just to do good karma and be happy, but to be enlightened, to live as a karma yogi, and ultimately to attain that state of moksha, salvation or nirvana. with the grace of god and the guidance of a spiritual master, a guru, this is possible. may you too be liberated from karma.
