say : allah gives you life , then he makes you die , then will he gather you to the day of resurrection wherein is no doubt , but most people do not know .
तुम कह दो कि ख़ुदा ही तुमको ज़िन्दा करता है और वही तुमको मारता है फिर वही तुमको क़यामत के दिन जिस में किसी तरह का शक़ नहीं जमा करेगा मगर अक्सर लोग नहीं जानते

and when harm afflicts men , they call upon their lord , turning to him , then when he makes them taste of mercy from him , lo ! some of them begin to associate with their lord ,
और जब लोगों को कोई मुसीबत छू भी गयी तो उसी की तरफ रुजू होकर अपने परवरदिगार को पुकारने लगते हैं फिर जब वह अपनी रहमत की लज्ज़त चखा देता है तो उन्हीं में से कुछ लोग अपने परवरदिगार के साथ शिर्क करने लगते हैं

is not he who responds to the distressed one , when he calls him , and who removes the evil , and makes you inheritors of the earth , generations after generations . is there any ilah with allah ? little is that you remember !
भला वह कौन है कि जब मुज़तर उसे पुकारे तो दुआ क़ुबूल करता है और मुसीबत को दूर करता है और तुम लोगों को ज़मीन में नायब बनाता है तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद है उस पर भी तुम लोग बहुत कम नसीहत व इबरत हासिल करते हो

it is allah who sends the winds , and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however he wills , and he makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them . and when he causes it to fall upon whom he wills of his servants , immediately they rejoice
ख़ुदा ही है जो हवाओं को भेजता है तो वह बादलों को उड़ाए उड़ाए फिरती हैं फिर वही ख़ुदा बादल को जिस तरह चाहता है आसमान में फैला देता है और उसको टुकड़े कर देता है फिर तुम देखते हो कि बूँदियां उसके दरमियान से निकल पड़ती हैं फिर जब ख़ुदा उन्हें अपने बन्दों में से जिस पर चहता है बरसा देता है तो वह लोग खुशियाँ माानने लगते हैं

is he who answers the call of the distressed when he invokes him and removes his distress , and makes you successors on the earth . . . ? what ! is there a god besides allah ? little is the admonition that you take .
या वह जो व्यग्र की पुकार सुनता है , जब वह उसे पुकारे और तकलीफ़ दूर कर देता है और तुम्हें धरती में अधिकारी बनाता है ? क्या अल्लाह के साथ कोई और पूज्य - प्रभु है ? तुम ध्यान थोड़े ही देते हो

who responds to the oppressed when he calls out to him , and relieves his suffering and who will make you inheritors of the earth ? then , is there a god besides god ? how little you pay heed !
भला वह कौन है कि जब मुज़तर उसे पुकारे तो दुआ क़ुबूल करता है और मुसीबत को दूर करता है और तुम लोगों को ज़मीन में नायब बनाता है तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद है उस पर भी तुम लोग बहुत कम नसीहत व इबरत हासिल करते हो

and have forgotten yahweh your maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
और आकाश के ताननेवाले और पृथ्वी की नेव डालनेवाले अपने कर्ता यहोवा को भूल गया है, और जब द्रोही नाश करने को तैयार होता है तब उसकी जलजलाहट से दिन भर लगातार थरथराता है? परन्तु द्रोही की जलजलाहट कहां रही?

and when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his lord turning to him frequently ; then when he makes him possess a favor from him , he forgets that for which he called upon him before , and sets up rivals to allah that he may cause to stray off from his path . say : enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little , surely you are of the inmates of the fire .
जब मनुष्य को कोई तकलीफ़ पहुँचती है तो वह अपने रब को उसी की ओर रुजू होकर पुकारने लगता है , फिर जब वह उसपर अपनी अनुकम्पा करता है , तो वह उस चीज़ को भूल जाता है जिसके लिए पहले पुकार रहा था और अल्लाह के समकक्ष ठहराने लगता है , ताकि इसके परिणामस्वरूप वह उसकी राह से भटका दे । कह दो , " अपने इनकार का थोड़ा मज़ा ले लो । निस्संदेह तुम आगवालों में से हो । "
