if you fear a split between the two of them , then appoint an arbiter from his relatives and an arbiter from her relatives . if they desire reconcilement , allah shall reconcile them .
আর যদি তোমরা দু ’ জনের মধ ্ যে বিচ ্ ছেদ আশঙ ্ কা করো , তবে তার লোকদের থেকে একজন মধ ্ যস ্ থ নিয়োগ করো এবং ওর লোকদের থেকেও একজন মধ ্ যস ্ থ , যদি তারা দু ’ জনই মিটমাট চায় তবে আল ্ লাহ ্ তাদের মধ ্ যে মিলন ঘটাবেন । নিঃসন ্ দেহ আল ্ লাহ ্ সর ্ বজ ্ ঞাতা , ওয়াকিফহাল ।

divorced women shall wait by themselves for three periods of purity [ after menses ] , and it is not lawful for them to conceal what allah has created in their wombs if they believe in allah and the last day ; and their husbands have a greater right to restore them during this [ duration ] , if they desire reconcilement . the wives have rights similar to the obligations upon them , in accordance with honourable norms ; and men have a degree above them , and allah is all-mighty and all-wise .
আর তালাকপ ্ রাপ ্ তা নারী নিজেকে অপেক ্ ষায় রাখবে তিন হায়েয পর ্ যন ্ ত । আর যদি সে আল ্ লাহর প ্ রতি এবং আখেরাত দিবসের উপর ঈমানদার হয়ে থাকে , তাহলে আল ্ লাহ যা তার জরায়ুতে সৃষ ্ টি করেছেন তা লুকিয়ে রাখা জায়েজ নয় । আর যদি সদ ্ ভাব রেখে চলতে চায় , তাহলে তাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে নেবার অধিকার তাদের স ্ বামীরা সংরক ্ ষণ করে । আর পুরুষদের যেমন স ্ ত ্ রীদের উপর অধিকার রয়েছে , তেমনি ভাবে স ্ ত ্ রীদেরও অধিকার রয়েছে পুরুষদের উপর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী । আর নারীরদের ওপর পুরুষদের শ ্ রেষ ্ ঠত ্ ব রয়েছে । আর আল ্ লাহ হচ ্ ছে পরাক ্ রমশালী , বিজ ্ ঞ ।
