অথবা এর উপরে বাড়িয়ে নাও , আর কুরআন আবৃত ্ তি করো ধীরস ্ থিরভাবে শান ্ ত-সুন ্ দর আবৃত ্ তিতে ।

and even if we opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto ,
আর যদি আমরা তাদের জন ্ য মহাকাশের দরজা খুলে দিই আর তাতে তারা আরোহণ করতে থাকে --

or add ( a little ) thereto - and chant the qur 'an in measure ,
অথবা এর উপরে বাড়িয়ে নাও , আর কুরআন আবৃত ্ তি করো ধীরস ্ থিরভাবে শান ্ ত-সুন ্ দর আবৃত ্ তিতে ।

and propound thou unto them the similitude of the inhabitants of a town , when there came thereto the sent ones ;
আপনি তাদের কাছে সে জনপদের অধিবাসীদের দৃষ ্ টান ্ ত বর ্ ণনা করুন , যখন সেখানে রসূল আগমন করেছিলেন ।

and of those whom we have created there is a community guiding others with truth and acting justly according thereto .
আর যাদের আমরা সৃষ ্ টি করেছি তাদের মধ ্ যে আছে একটি দল যারা পথ দেখায় সত ্ যের দ ্ বারা , আর তার দ ্ বারা তারা ন ্ যায়পরায়ণতা করে ।

so when the qur 'an is recited , listen thereto and keep silence , haply ye may be shewn mercy .
আর যখন কুরআন পঠিত হয় তখন তা শোনো , আর চুপ করে থেকো , যেন তোমাদের প ্ রতি করুণা বর ্ ষিত হয় ।

should they find a refuge , or caves , or a place of concealment , they would turn straightway thereto with a swift rush .
তারা কোন আশ ্ রয়স ্ থল , কোন গুহা বা মাথা গোঁজার ঠাই পেলে সেদিকে পলায়ন করবে দ ্ রুতগতিতে ।

and afterward he maketh you return thereto , and he will bring you forth again , a ( new ) forthbringing .
''তারপর তিনি তোমাদের তাতেই ফিরে পাঠান, এবং তিনি তোমাদের বের করে আনবেন এক বহিষ্কারে।

and whosoever bringeth the truth , and whosoever giveth credence thereto - these ! they are the god-fearing .
আর যারা সত ্ য নিয়ে এসেছে ও একে সত ্ য বলে স ্ বীকার করেছে এরাই খোদ মুত ্ তাকী ।

he knoweth whatsoever penetrateth into the earth and whatsoever cometh forth therefrom and whatsoever descendeth from the heaven and whatsoever ascendeth thereto . and he is the merciful , the forgiving .
তিনি জানেন যা ভূগর ্ ভে প ্ রবেশ করে , যা সেখান থেকে নির ্ গত হয় , যা আকাশ থেকে বর ্ ষিত হয় এবং যা আকাশে উত ্ থিত হয় । তিনি পরম দয়ালু ক ্ ষমাশীল ।

and that those who have been vouchsafed knowledge may know that it is the truth from thy lord and may believe therein , and so their hearts may submit thereto . and verily allah is the guide of those who believe unto a path straight .
আর যেন যাদের জ ্ ঞান দেওয়া হয়েছে তারা জানতে পারে যে এটি তোমার প ্ রভুর কাছ থেকে সত ্ য , কাজেই তারা যেন এতে বিশ ্ বাস স ্ থাপন করে আর তাদের হৃদয় যেন তাঁর প ্ রতি বির ্ নত হতে পারে । আর নিঃসন ্ দেহ আল ্ লাহ ্ তো সহজ-সঠিক পথের দিকে পরিচালক তাদের জন ্ য যারা ঈমান এনেছে ।

and it is in order that the ; hearts of those who believe not in the hereafter might incline thereto , and that they might be pleased therewith , and that they might do that whereof they are the doers .
অতএব , আপনি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের মিথ ্ যাপবাদকে মুক ্ ত ছেড়ে দিন যাতে কারুকার ্ যখচিত বাক ্ যের প ্ রতি তাদের মন আকৃষ ্ ট হয় যারা পরকালে বিশ ্ বাস করে না এবং তারা একেও পছন ্ দ করে নেয় এবং যাতে ঐসব কাজ করে , যা তারা করছে ।

and what aileth you that ye should not eat that whereon the name of allah hath been pronounced while he hath surely detailed unto you that which he hath forbidden you , unless ye are driven thereto ? verily many lead others astray by their desires without knowledge .
আর তোমাদের কি হয়েছে যে তোমরা তা খাবে না যার উপরে আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র নাম উল ্ লেখ করা হয়েছে , আর তিনি ইতিপূর ্ বে তোমাদের জন ্ য বিশদভাবে বর ্ ণনা করেছেন যা তোমাদের জন ্ য তিনি নিষেধ করেছেন , তবে যতটাতে তোমরা বাধ ্ য হও তা ব ্ যতীত ? আর নিঃসন ্ দেহ অনেকেই বিপথে চালিত করে তাদের খেয়াল-খুশির দ ্ বারা জ ্ ঞানহীনতা বশতঃ । নিঃসন ্ দেহ তোমার প ্ রভু -- তিনি ভলো জানেন সীমা-লঙ ্ ঘনকারীদের ।

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto musa the book , and difference arose concerning it ; and had not a word gone forth from thy lord , the affair would have been decreed between them . and verily they are in regard thereto in doubt and dubitating .
আমি মূসাকে কিতাব দিয়েছিলাম , অতঃপর তাতে মতভেদ সৃষ ্ টি হয় । আপনার পালনকর ্ তার পক ্ ষ থেকে পূর ্ ব সিদ ্ ধান ্ ত না থাকলে তাদের মধ ্ যে ফয়সালা হয়ে যেত । তারা কোরআন সমন ্ ধে এক অস ্ বস ্ তিকর সন ্ দেহে লিপ ্ ত ।

and [ due ] to allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the house - for whoever is able to find thereto a way . but whoever disbelieves - then indeed , allah is free from need of the worlds .
এতে আছে সুস ্ পষ ্ ট নিদর ্ শনাবলী -- মক ্ কামে ইব ্ রাহীম ; আর যে কেউ এখানে প ্ রবেশ করবে সে হচ ্ ছে নিরাপদ , আর আল ্ লাহ ্ ‌ র উদ ্ দেশ ্ যে এই গৃহে হজ করা মানবগোষ ্ ঠীর জন ্ য আবশ ্ যিক -- যারই সেখানকার পাথেয় অর ্ জনের ক ্ ষমতা আছে । আর যে অবিশ ্ বাস পোষণ করে -- তাহলে নিঃসন ্ দেহ আল ্ লাহ ্ সমস ্ ত সৃষ ্ ট জগতের থেকে স ্ বয়ং-সম ্ পূর ্ ণ ।
