and as for him who stinteth and is heedless,
اور جس نے بخل کیا اور (اپنے خدا سے) بے نیازی برتی

allah expandeth provision for whomsoever he will of his bondmen and stinteth it for him. verily allah is of everything the knower.
اللرُ ہی جس کے رزق میں چاہتا ہے وسعت پیدا کردیتا ہے اور جس کے رزق کو چاہتا ہے تنگ کردیتا ہے وہ ہر شے کا خوب جاننے والا ہے

behold they not that expandeth the provision for whomsoever he and stinteth? verily herein are signs for a people who believe.
اور کیا انہوں نے نہ دیکھا کہ اللہ رزق وسیع فرماتا ہے جس کے لیے چاہے اور تنگی فرماتا ہے جس کے لیے چاہے بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ایمان والوں کے لیے،

and when he proveth him, and so stinteth unto him his provision, he saith: 'my lord hath despised me.
اور اگر آزمائے اور اس کا رزق اس پر تنگ کرے، تو کہتا ہے میرے رب نے مجھے خوار کیا،

his are the keys of the heavens and the earth. he expandeth provision for whomsoever he will and stinteth. verily; he is of everything the knower.
آسمان و زمین کی تمام کنجیاں اسی کے اختیار میں ہیں وہ جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے اس کے رزق میں وسعت پیدا کردیتا ہے اور جس کے لئے چاہتا ہے تنگی پیدا کردیتا ہے وہ ہر شے کا خوب جاننے والا ہے

allah enlargeth the provision for whomsoever he willeth and, stinteth. and they exult in the life of the world, whereas the life of the world, by the side of the hereafter, is only a passing enjoyment.
الله ہی جس کے لیے چاہتا ہے روزی فراخ اور تنگ کرتا ہے اور دنیا کی زندگی پر خوش ہیں اور دنیا کی زندگی آخرت کے مقابلے میں کچھ نہیں مگر تھوڑاسا اسباب

and those who had wished for his place but yesterday began to say: ah! allah expandeth the provision for whomsoever he will of his bondmen and stinteth, had not allah been gracious unto us, he would have sunk the earth with us also. ah! the infidels thrive not.
اب وہی لوگ جو کل اس کی منزلت کی تمنا کر رہے تھے کہنے لگے "افسوس، ہم بھول گئے تھے کہ اللہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کا رزق چاہتا ہے کشادہ کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے نَپا تلا دیتا ہے اگر اللہ نے ہم پر احسان نہ کیا ہوتا تو ہمیں بھی زمین میں دَھنسا دیتا افسوس ہم کو یاد نہ رہا کہ کافر فلاح نہیں پایا کرتے"
