shemaiah, and joiarib, jediah,
שמעיה ויויריב ידעיה׃

judah, and benjamin, and shemaiah, and jeremiah,
יהודה ובנימן ושמעיה וירמיה׃

מעזיה בלגי שמעיה אלה הכהנים׃

ובני חרם אליעזר ישיה מלכיה שמעיה שמעון׃

and of the sons of harim; maaseiah, and elijah, and shemaiah, and jehiel, and uzziah.
ומבני חרם מעשיה ואליה ושמעיה ויחיאל ועזיה׃

also unto shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.
ולשמעיה בנו נולד בנים הממשלים לבית אביהם כי גבורי חיל המה׃

after them repaired zadok the son of immer over against his house. after him repaired also shemaiah the son of shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate.
אחריו החזיק צדוק בן אמר נגד ביתו ואחריו החזיק שמעיה בן שכניה שמר שער המזרח׃

ומן הלוים שמעיה בן חשוב בן עזריקם בן חשביה מן בני מררי׃

בני שמעיה עתני ורפאל ועובד אלזבד אחיו בני חיל אליהו וסמכיהו׃

and david called for zadok and abiathar the priests, and for the levites, for uriel, asaiah, and joel, shemaiah, and eliel, and amminadab,
ויקרא דויד לצדוק ולאביתר הכהנים וללוים לאוריאל עשיה ויואל שמעיה ואליאל ועמינדב׃

and there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the lord, urijah the son of shemaiah of kirjath-jearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of jeremiah:
וגם איש היה מתנבא בשם יהוה אוריהו בן שמעיהו מקרית היערים וינבא על העיר הזאת ועל הארץ הזאת ככל דברי ירמיהו׃

and maaseiah, and shemaiah, and eleazar, and uzzi, and jehohanan, and malchijah, and elam, and ezer. and the singers sang loud, with jezrahiah their overseer.
ומעשיה ושמעיה ואלעזר ועזי ויהוחנן ומלכיה ועילם ועזר וישמיעו המשררים ויזרחיה הפקיד׃

afterward i came unto the house of shemaiah the son of delaiah the son of mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, let us meet together in the house of god, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.
ואני באתי בית שמעיה בן דליה בן מהיטבאל והוא עצור ויאמר נועד אל בית האלהים אל תוך ההיכל ונסגרה דלתות ההיכל כי באים להרגך ולילה באים להרגך׃
