when the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

he shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. and when they heard it, they said, god forbid.
atakuja kuwaangamiza wakulima hao, na atawapa wakulima wengine hilo shamba la mizabibu." watu waliposikia maneno hayo, walisema: "hasha! yasitukie hata kidogo!"

and at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

but when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, this is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
wale wakulima walipomwona tu, wakasemezana: huyu ndiye mrithi. basi, tumwue ili urithi wake uwe wetu.

know that the life of the world is but a play and a pastime, and an adornment and a self-glorification among you and vying in respect of riches and children; as the likeness of vegetation after rains whereof the growth pleaseth the husbandmen, then it withereth and thou seest it becoming yellow, then it becometh chaff.
