दोस्ती के 12 साल और अभी भी गिनती

still counting my days
மதுரத்தில் என் நாட்களை எண்ணுகிறேன்

and the night when dark and still,
ஒடுங்கிக் கொள்ளும் இரவின் மீது சத்தியமாக-

it was only one cry and lo, they were silent and still.
ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலி! (அவ்வளவு)தான்! அவர்கள் சாம்பலாயினர்.

indeed it is up to us to put it together and to recite it.
நிச்சயமாக அதனை (குர்ஆனை) ஒன்று சேர்ப்பதும், (நீர்) அதை ஓதும்படிச் செய்வதும் நம் மீதே உள்ளன.

gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped
"அநியாயம் செய்தார்களே அவர்களையும் அவர்களுடைய துணைகளையும், அவர்கள் வணங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவற்றையும் ஒன்று சேருங்கள்.

so scheme against me, all of you together, and then grant me no respite.
"(ஆகவே) அவனையன்றி நீங்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து எனக்குச் சூழ்ச்சியைச் செய்து பாருங்கள்; (இதில்) நீங்கள் எனக்கு எந்த அவகாசமும் கொடுக்க வேண்டாம்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

man he created from a drop of semen; and still he becomes an open contender.
அவன் மனிதனை இந்திரியத்துளியினால் படைத்தான்; அப்படியிருந்தும் மனிதன் பகிரங்கமான எதிரியாக இருக்கின்றான்.

and this they did not stop crying out until we made them stubble, silent, and still.
அறுவடை செய்யப்பட்ட வயலின் அரிதாள்கள் எரிந்தழிவது போன்று அவர்களை நாம் ஆக்கும் வரை அவர்களுடைய இக்கூப்பாடு ஓயவில்லை.

and when they are chained together and flung into a narrow space therein, they will begin to call for death.
மேலும் அ(ந்நரகத்)தின் ஒரு நெருக்கமான இடத்தில் அவர்கள் (சங்கிலியால்) கட்டி எறியப்பட்டால், (அவ்வேதனையை தாங்கமாட்டாமல், அதைவிட) அழிவே மேல் என அங்கே வேண்டியழைப்பார்கள்.

did they not know that allah knows their secret and what they conspire together, and that allah knows all the unseen?
அவர்களுடைய இரகசிய எண்ணங்களையும், அவர்களுடைய அந்தரங்க ஆலோசனைகளையும் அல்லாஹ் அறிவான் என்பதையும்; இன்னும், மறைவானவற்றை எல்லாம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கு அறிபவனாக இருக்கின்றான் என்பதையும் அவர்கள் அறியவில்லையா,

that god may separate the bad from the good, and link the wicked together and cast them into hell. these are verily the people who will lose.
அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களையும் கெட்டவர்களையும் பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பெற்று ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்பட்டபின் அவர்களை நரகத்தில் போடுவதற்காகவுமே (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்; எனவே) இவர்கள்தாம் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.

do not those who deny the truth see that the heavens and the earth were joined together and that we then split them asunder? and that we have made every living thing out of water? will they still not believe?
நிச்சயமாக வானங்களும், பூமியும் (முதலில்) இணைந்திருந்தன என்பதையும், இவற்றை நாமே பிரித்(தமைத்)தோம் என்பதையும், உயிருள்ள ஒவ்வொன்றையும் நாம் தண்ணீரிலிருந்து படைத்தோம் என்பதையும் காஃபிர்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? (இவற்றைப் பார்த்தும்) அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள வில்லையா?

but whoever has been blind in this life will be blind in the life to come, and still farther astray from the path [of truth].
யார் இம்மையில் (நேர்வழியடையாக்) குருடனாக இருக்கிறானோ அவன் மறுமையிலும் (நற்பேற்றைக் காணாக்) குருடன்தான்; இன்னும், அவன் நேர்வழியில் மிகவும் தவறியவனாவான்.

and on the day when we shall set the mountains in motion and you shall see the earth a leveled plain; when we gather them together, and would not leave even one behind,
(நபியே!) ஒரு நாள் நாம் மலைகளை (அவற்றின் இடங்களை விட்டுப்) பெயர்த்து விடுவோம்; அப்போது, பூமியை நீர் வெட்ட வெளியாகக் காண்பீர்; அவர்களை ஒன்று சேர்ப்போம், (அந்நாளில்) நாம் ஒருவரையும் விட்டு வைக்க மாட்டோம்.

in order that allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into hell. they will be the ones to have lost.
அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களையும் கெட்டவர்களையும் பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பெற்று ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்பட்டபின் அவர்களை நரகத்தில் போடுவதற்காகவுமே (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்; எனவே) இவர்கள்தாம் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.

[this is] so that allah may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into hell. it is those who are the losers.
அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களையும் கெட்டவர்களையும் பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பெற்று ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்பட்டபின் அவர்களை நரகத்தில் போடுவதற்காகவுமே (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்; எனவே) இவர்கள்தாம் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.

and obey god, and his messenger, and do not quarrel together, and so lose heart, and your power depart; and be patient; surely god is with the patient.
இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படியுங்கள் - நீங்கள் கருத்து வேறுபாடு கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; (அவ்வாறு கொண்டால்) கோழைகளாகி விடுவீர்கள்; உங்கள் பலம் குன்றிவிடும்; (துன்பங்களைச் சகித்துக் கொண்டு) நீங்கள் பொறுமையாக இருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பொறுமையுடையவர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

and (remember) the day when he will gather them all together, and then will say to the angels: "was it you that these people used to worship?"
(மலக்குகளை வணங்கி வந்த) அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒன்று கூட்டும் அந்நாளில், அவன் மலக்குகளிடம் "இவர்கள்தானா உங்களை வணங்கிக்கொண்டு இருந்தார்கள்" என்று (அல்லாஹ்) கேட்பான்.

in order that allah may distinguish the vile from the good; and the vile he shall place one upon anot her, and shall pile it all together, and shall place it into hell. those! it is they who are the losers.
அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களையும் கெட்டவர்களையும் பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பெற்று ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்பட்டபின் அவர்களை நரகத்தில் போடுவதற்காகவுமே (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்; எனவே) இவர்கள்தாம் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.
