my lord forgive and have mercy,for you are
இறைவன் என் ஆத்மா மீது கருணை காட்டுவானாக

surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead).
நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் விரைந்து சென்று விடுவ(தான இவ்வுலகத்)தையே நேசிக்கின்றனர், அப்பால் பளுவான (மறுமை) நாளைத் தங்களுக்குப் பின்னே விட்டு(ப் புறக்கணித்து) விடுகின்றனர்.

say, ‘my lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of the merciful.’
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

and say thou: my lord! forgive and have mercy, and thou art the best of the merciful ones.
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

and say: 'my lord, forgive and have mercy, for thou art the best of the merciful.'
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

command ye mankind to piety and forget yourselves, the while ye read the book! understand then ye not!
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

do you admonish others to do good and forget this yourselves? yet you read the book. will you not then understand?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

will you bid others to piety and forget yourselves, while you recite the book? do you not exercise your reason?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

do you command people to virtuous conduct, and forget yourselves, even though you read the scripture? do you not understand?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

and (o muhammad) say: my lord! forgive and have mercy, for thou art best of all who show mercy.
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

and say (o muhammad saw): "my lord! forgive and have mercy, for you are the best of those who show mercy!"
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

truly it is only associating others with allah in his divinity that allah does not forgive, and forgives anything besides that to whomsoever he wills. whoever associates others with allah in his divinity has indeed strayed far away.
நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தனக்கு இணை வைப்பதை மன்னிக்கவே மாட்டான்;. இது அல்லாத (பாவத்)தைத் தான் நாடியவருக்கு மன்னிப்பான்;. எவன் ஒருவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்கின்றானோ, அவன் நிச்சயமாக வெகு தூரமான வழிகேட்டில் ஆகிவிட்டான்.

do ye enjoin right conduct on the people, and forget (to practise it) yourselves, and yet ye study the scripture? will ye not understand?
நீங்கள் வேதத்தையும் ஓதிக் கொண்டே, (மற்ற) மனிதர்களை நன்மை செய்யுமாறு ஏவி, தங்களையே மறந்து விடுகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards; it is they to whom allah will forgive and allah is ever all-knower, all-wise.
எவர்கள் அறியாமையினால் தீமை செய்துவிட்டு, பின்னர் விரைவில் மன்னிப்புத் தேடி கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்குத்தான் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மன்னிப்பு. உண்டு. அல்லாஹ் அவர்களின் மன்னிப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறான். இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தோனும். ஞானம் உடையோனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்.

and seek the abode of the hereafter with that which god hath vouchsafed thee, and forget not thy portion in the world, and be thou bounteous even as god hath been bounteous unto thee, and seek not corruption in the earth; verily allah loveth not corrupters.
"மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உனக்குக் கொடுத்த (செல்வத்)திலிரு; நது மறுமை வீட்டைத்தேடிக் கொள்; எனினும், இவ்வுலகத்தில் உன் நஸீபை (உனக்கு விதித்திருப்பதையும்) மறந்து விடாதே! அல்லாஹ் உனக்கு நல்லதைச் செய்திருப்பதைப் போல், நீயும் நல்லதை செய்! இன்னும், பூமியில் குழப்பம் செய்ய விரும்பாதே நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் குழப்பம் செய்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை" (என்றும் கூறினார்கள்).

and (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) say, “my lord! forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of all the merciful.
இன்னும், "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

and let not those who possess dignity and ease among you swear not to give to the near of kin and to the needy, and to fugitives for the cause of allah. let them forgive and show indulgence. yearn ye not that allah may forgive you? allah is forgiving, merciful.
இன்னும், உங்களில் (இறைவனின்) கொடை அருளப் பெற்றவர்களும், தக்க வசதி உடையவர்களும், உறவினர்களுக்கும் ஏழைகளுக்கும், (தம்மிடங்களை விட்டு) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்தவர்களுக்கும் (எதுவும்) கொடுக்க முடியாது என்று சத்தியம் செய்ய வேண்டாம்; (அவர்கள் தவறு செய்திருப்பின்) அதை மன்னித்து (அதைப்) பொருட்படுத்தாமல் இருக்கவும்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களை மன்னிக்க வேண்டும் என்று நீங்கள் விரும்ப மாட்டீர்களா? மேலும் அல்லாஹ் (பிழை பொறுப்பவன்) மிக மன்னிப்பவன்; அன்பு மிக்கவன்.

and because of their breaking their covenant, we have cursed them and made hard their hearts. they change words from their context and forget a part of that whereof they were admonished. thou wilt not cease to discover treachery from all save a few of them. but bear with them and pardon them. lo! allah loveth the kindly.
அப்பால், அவர்கள் தம் உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்து விட்டதால் நாம் அவர்களைச் சபித்தோம்;. அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களை இறுகச் செய்தோம்;. (இறை)வசனங்களை அதற்குரிய (சரியான) இடங்களிலிருந்து அவர்கள் மாற்றுகிறார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்த போதனையின் (பெரும்) பகுதியை மறந்து விட்டார்கள்;. ஆகவே அவர்களில் சிலரைத் தவிர அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோரின் மோசடியைப் பற்றி (நபியே!) நீர் தவறாமல் கண்டு கொண்டே இருப்பீர். எனவே நீர் அவர்களை மன்னத்துப் புறக்கணித்து விடுவீராக. மெய்யாகவே நன்மை செய்வோரை அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்கிறான்.
