if they come upon you, they will be your enemies, and stretch out their hands and tongues to do evil to you. they wish that you would disbelieve.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்கு மோசம் செய்ய நாடினால் (கவலைப்படாதீர்); இதற்கு முன்னர் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே மோசம் செய்யக் கருதினார்கள்; (ஆதலால் தான் அவர்களைச் சிறை பிடிக்க) அவர்கள் மீது உமக்கு சக்தியை அவன் அளித்தான். அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாம்) அறிபவனாகவும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

but if they break faith after pledging it and revile your religion, then fight these leaders of unbelief, so that they may desist, for they have no regard for their pledged word.
அவர்களுடைய உடன்படிக்கைக்குப்பின், தம் சத்தியங்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தைப் பற்றியும் இழித்துக் குறை சொல்லி கொண்டு இருப்பார்களானால், அவர்கள் (மேற்கூறிய செயல்களிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்வதற்காக நிராகரிப்பவர்களின் தலைவர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள்; ஏனெனில் அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக ஒப்பந்தங்கள் (என்று எதுவும்) இல்லை.

and upon man we ordained kindness towards parents; and if they strive to make you ascribe a partner with me, about which you do not have any knowledge, then do not obey them; towards me only is your return and i will tell you what you used to do.
தன் தாய் தந்தையருக்கு நன்மை செய்யும்படியாக நாம் மனிதனுக்கு வஸிய்யத்து செய்திருக்கிறோம்; எனினும், (மனிதனே!) உனக்கு அறிவு இல்லாத ஒன்றை எனக்கு இணையாக்கும்படி அவ்விருவரும் உன்னை வற்புறுத்தினால், நீ அவ்விருவருக்கும் கீழ்படிய வேண்டாம்; என்னிடமே உங்கள் அனைவரின் மீளுதலும் இருக்கிறது நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவை பற்றி அப்போது நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பேன்.

and if they seek defrauding thee, then they have defrauded allah before, yet he gave thee power over them; and allah is knowing, wise.
(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்கு மோசம் செய்ய நாடினால் (கவலைப்படாதீர்); இதற்கு முன்னர் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே மோசம் செய்யக் கருதினார்கள்; (ஆதலால் தான் அவர்களைச் சிறை பிடிக்க) அவர்கள் மீது உமக்கு சக்தியை அவன் அளித்தான். அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாம்) அறிபவனாகவும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(and the servants of the merciful are those:) who do not bear witness to falsehood and who; if they have ever to pass by what is vain, pass by like dignified people:
அன்றியும், அவர்கள் பொய் சாட்சி சொல்லமாட்டார்கள்; மேலும், அவர்கள் வீணான காரிய(ம் நடக்கும் இட)த்தின் பக்கம் செல்வார்களாயின் கண்ணியமானவராக (ஒதுங்கிச்) சென்றுவிடுவார்கள்.

have they taken others as intercessors besides allah? say: "even if they have power over nothing whatever and have no intelligence?"
அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை(த் தங்களுக்குப்) பரிந்து பேசுபவர்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்களா? (நபியே!) கூறுவீராக! "அவை எந்த சக்தியையும், அறிவையும் பெறாமல் இருந்த போதிலுமா?" (என்று.)
