บรรดาผู้ศรัทธาต่อสัญญาณทั้งหลายของเรา และพวกเขาเป็นผู้นอบน้อม

what, shall we make those who have surrendered like to the sinners?
ดังนั้นจะให้เราปฏิบัติแก่บรรดาผู้นอบน้อมเสมือนกับเราปฏิบัติแก่บรรดาผู้กระทำผิดกระนั้นหรือ ?

but we found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves,
และเราไม่พบผู้ใดในเมืองนั้น นอกจากบ้านหลังหนึ่งของปวงผู้นอบน้อม

shall we then treat those who have surrendered as we treat the guilty?
ดังนั้นจะให้เราปฏิบัติแก่บรรดาผู้นอบน้อมเสมือนกับเราปฏิบัติแก่บรรดาผู้กระทำผิดกระนั้นหรือ ?

but we found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves.
และเราไม่พบผู้ใดในเมืองนั้น นอกจากบ้านหลังหนึ่งของปวงผู้นอบน้อม

but we found there but one house of those surrendered (to allah).
และเราไม่พบผู้ใดในเมืองนั้น นอกจากบ้านหลังหนึ่งของปวงผู้นอบน้อม

a time will surely come when those who are bent on denying the truth will wish that they had surrendered themselves to god,
บรรดาผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธาหวังกันว่า หากพวกเขาได้เป็นมุสลิม

and some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. those who have surrendered sought rectitude;
และแท้จริงในหมู่พวกเรามีผู้ที่เป็นมุสลิม และในหมู่พวกเรามีผู้อธรรม ดังนั้นผู้ใดนอบน้อม ชนเหล่านั้นพวกเขาได้มุ่งสู่แนวทางที่ถูกต้อง

when both surrendered (to allah's command) and abraham flung the son down on his forehead,
ครั้นเมื่อทั้งสอง (พ่อและลูก) ได้ยอมมอบตน (แด่อัลลอฮฺ) อิบรอฮีมได้ให้อีสมาอีลคว่ำหน้าลงกับพื้น

so when they had both surrendered [to allah’s will], and he had laid him down on his forehead,
ครั้นเมื่อทั้งสอง (พ่อและลูก) ได้ยอมมอบตน (แด่อัลลอฮฺ) อิบรอฮีมได้ให้อีสมาอีลคว่ำหน้าลงกับพื้น

nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe our revelations and who have surrendered.
และเจ้ามิได้เป็นผู้ชี้แนะแนวทางแก่คนตาบอด ให้ออกจากความหลงผิดของพวกเขา เจ้าจะไม่ทำให้ผู้ใดได้ยินนอกจากผู้ศรัทธาต่อโองการต่าง ๆ ของเรา โดยที่พวกเขาเป็นผู้นอบน้อม

abraham was neither a jew nor a christian. he was an upright man, one who had surrendered himself to god. he was not one of those who associate partners with god.
อิบรอฮีมไม่เคยเป็นยิวและไม่เคยเป็นคริสต์ แต่ทว่าเขาเป็นผู้หันออกจากความเท็จสู่ความจริง เป็นผู้น้อมตาม และเขาก็ไม่เคยอยู่ในหมู่ผู้ให้มีภาคีขึ้น (แก่อัลลอฮ์)

and he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to allah)?
และเขาจะไม่ใช้พวกเจ้าให้ยึดเอามะลาอิกะฮ์และบรรดานะบีเป็นพระเจ้า เขาจะใช้พวกเจ้าให้ปฏิเสธศรัทธา หลังจากที่พวกเจ้าเป็นผู้นอบน้อม แล้วกระนั้นหรือ?

and moses said: o my people! if ye have believed in allah then put trust in him, if ye have indeed surrendered (unto him)!
และมูซากล่าวว่า “โอ้กลุ่มชนของฉัน! หากพวกท่านศรัทธาต่ออัลลอฮ์ พวกท่านก็จงมอบหมายต่อพระองค์ หากพสกท่านเป็นผู้ยอมจำนน

abraham was not a jew, nor yet a christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to allah), and he was not of the idolaters.
อิบรอฮีมไม่เคยเป็นยิวและไม่เคยเป็นคริสต์ แต่ทว่าเขาเป็นผู้หันออกจากความเท็จสู่ความจริง เป็นผู้น้อมตาม และเขาก็ไม่เคยอยู่ในหมู่ผู้ให้มีภาคีขึ้น (แก่อัลลอฮ์)

and there are among us some who have surrendered (to allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. and whoso hath surrendered to allah, such have taken the right path purposefully.
และแท้จริงในหมู่พวกเรามีผู้ที่เป็นมุสลิม และในหมู่พวกเรามีผู้อธรรม ดังนั้นผู้ใดนอบน้อม ชนเหล่านั้นพวกเขาได้มุ่งสู่แนวทางที่ถูกต้อง
