for it is written, he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

and when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

and he commanded a centurion to keep paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

pure religion and undefiled before god and the father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

but peter said, ananias, why hath satan filled thine heart to lie to the holy ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

and when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

and when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after easter to bring him forth to the people.

and he said unto them, ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but god hath shewed me that i should not call any man common or unclean.

for the which cause i also suffer these things: nevertheless i am not ashamed: for i know whom i have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which i have committed unto him against that day.

but now i have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
