and give him vast riches ,
ለእርሱም የተዘረጋን ገንዘብ ( በያይነቱ ) ያደረግሁለት ፡ ፡

my riches have not availed me ,
« ገንዘቤ ከእኔ ምንንም አላብቃቃኝ ፤ ( አልጠቀመኝም ) ፡ ፡

my riches have : availed me not ;
« ገንዘቤ ከእኔ ምንንም አላብቃቃኝ ፤ ( አልጠቀመኝም ) ፡ ፡

and amassed ( riches ) and hoarded .
ገንዘብን የሰበሰበንና ( ዘካውን ሳይሰጥ ) የቆጠረንም ፤ ( ትጠራለች ) ፡ ፡

whom i have endowed with abundant riches ,
ለእርሱም የተዘረጋን ገንዘብ ( በያይነቱ ) ያደረግሁለት ፡ ፡

and love the riches , loving them ardently .
ገንዘብንም ብዙን መውደድ ትወዳላችሁ ፡ ፡

his riches will not save him when he perisheth .
በወደቀም ጊዜ ገንዘቡ ከእርሱ ምንም አይጠቅመውም ፡ ፡

because he is owner of riches and children .
የገንዘብና የልጆች ባለቤት በመኾኑ ( ያስተባብላል ) ፡ ፡

and why do you have an excessive love of riches ?
ገንዘብንም ብዙን መውደድ ትወዳላችሁ ፡ ፡

and that it is he who gives wealth and riches ,
እነሆ እርሱም አከበረ ፣ ጥሪተኛም አደረገ ፡ ፡

your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
ሀብታችሁ ተበላሽቶአል፥ ልብሳችሁም በብል ተበልቶአል።

and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving .
እርሱም ገንዘብን ለመውደድ በጣም ብርቱ ነው ፡ ፡

and that it is he who gives riches and causes to hoard ,
እነሆ እርሱም አከበረ ፣ ጥሪተኛም አደረገ ፡ ፡

and for whom i have smoothed the way ( to power and riches ) ,
ለእርሱም ( ኑሮውን ) መዘርጋትን የዘረጋሁለት ( ከኾነ ሰው ገር ተዎኝ ) ፡ ፡

and his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong ( into the abyss ) .
በወደቀም ጊዜ ገንዘቡ ከእርሱ ምንም አይጠቅመውም ፡ ፡

and he will add unto you riches and children and will appoint unto you gardens and will appoint unto you rivers .
« በገንዘቦችና በልጆችም ይለግሰላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም አትክልቶችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ወንዞችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ »

your riches and your children are but a temptation ; and allah ! with him is a mighty hire .
ገንዘቦቻችሁና ልጆቻችሁ ለናንተ መፈተኛ ብቻ ናቸው ፤ አላህም እርሱ ዘንድ ታላቅ ምንዳ አልለ ፡ ፡

and they said : we are more numerous in riches and children , and we are not going to be tormented .
« እኛም በገንዘቦችና በልጆች ይበልጥ የበዛን ነን ፡ ፡ እኛም የምንቀጣ አይደለንም » አሉ ፡ ፡

let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of allah . if any act thus , the loss is their own .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ገንዘቦቻችሁና ልጆቻችሁ አላህን ከማስታወስ አያታሉዋችሁ ፡ ፡ ይህንንም የሚሠሩ ሰዎች እነዚያ እነርሱ ከሳሪዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

and know that your riches and your children are but a temptation , and that verily allah : with him is a mighty hire .
ገንዘቦቻችሁና ልጆቻችሁም ፈተና ብቻ መኾናቸውንና አላህም እሱ ዘንድ ታላቅ ምንዳ ያለው መኾኑን እወቁ ፡ ፡
