then he shewed him the great sign .
ታላቂቱንም ተዓምር አሳየው ፡ ፡

ደቀ መዛሙርቱም ለዮሐንስ እነዚህን ሁሉ አወሩ።

and he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy jerusalem, descending out of heaven from god,
በመንፈስም ወደ ታላቅና ወደ ረጅም ተራራ ወሰደኝ፥ የእግዚአብሔርም ክብር ያለባትን ቅድስቲቱን ከተማ ኢየሩሳሌምን ከሰማይ ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ስትወርድ አሳየኝ፤ ብርሃንዋም እጅግ እንደ ከበረ ድንጋይ እንደ ኢያሰጲድ ድንጋይ ሆኖ እንደ ብርሌ የጠራ ነበረ፤

and recall what time he shewed them few in your eyes when ye met and lessened you in their eyes in order that allah might decree an affair already enacted ; and unto allah are all affairs returned .
አላህም ሊሠራው የሚገባን ነገር ይፈጽም ዘንድ በተጋጠማችሁ ጊዜ እነርሱን በዓይኖቻችሁ ጥቂት አድርጎ ያሳያችሁንና በዓይኖቻቸውም ላይ ያሳነሳችሁን ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ ነገሮቹም ሁሉ ወደ አላህ ብቻ ይመለሳሉ ፡ ፡

and recall what time allah shewed them few unto thee in thy dream . and had he shewn them numerous unto thee , surely ye would have flagged and surely ye would have disputed over the affair but allah saved you .
አላህ በሕልምህ እነሱን ጥቂት አድርጎ ባሳየህ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ እነሱን ብዙ አድርጎ ባሳየህም ኖሮ በፈራችሁና በነገሩ በተጨቃጨቃችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡ ግን አላህ አዳናችሁ ፡ ፡ እርሱ በደረቶች ውስጥ ያለን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነውና ፡ ፡

i have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the lord jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
እንዲሁ እየደከማችሁ ድውዮችን ልትረዱና እርሱ ራሱ። ከሚቀበል ይልቅ የሚሰጥ ብፁዕ ነው እንዳለ የጌታን የኢየሱስን ቃል ልታስቡ ይገባችሁ ዘንድ በሁሉ አሳየኋችሁ።

and recall what time we said unto thee : verily thy lord hath encompassed mankind . and we made the vision we shewed thee but a temptation for men , and likewise the tree accurst in the qur 'an .
ላንተም ጌታህ ( ዕውቀቱ ) በሰዎቹ ከበበ ባልንህ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ያችንም ( በሌሊቱ ጉዞ በዓይንህ ) ያሳየንህን ትርዕይት ለሰዎች ፈተና እንጂ አላደረግናትም ፡ ፡ በቁርኣንም የተረገመችውን ዛፍ ( እንደዚሁ ፈተና እንጂ አላደረግንም ) ፡ ፡ እናስፈራራቸዋለንም ፤ ታላቅንም ጥመት እንጂ አይጨምርላቸውም ፡ ፡

and the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
በማግሥቱም እርስ በርሳቸው ሲጣሉ አገኛቸው፥ ሊያስታርቃቸውም ወዶ። ሰዎች ሆይ፥ እናንተስ ወንድማማች ናችሁ፤ ስለ ምን እርስ በርሳችሁ ትበዳደላላችሁ? አላቸው።
