በእርግጥ እነርሱ ዛሬ እጃቸውን የሰጡ ወራዳዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

nay ! on that day they shall be submissive .

እነዚያ እነርሱ በስግደታቸው ውስጥ ( አላህን ) ፈሪዎች ፡ ፡

እነዚያ በአንቀጾቻችን ያመኑና ፍጹም ታዛዦች የነበሩ ( ባሮቼ ሆይ ! )

‘ indeed , they are [ meek and ] submissive today ! ’
በእርግጥ እነርሱ ዛሬ እጃቸውን የሰጡ ወራዳዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡

except what is done in obedience to god with a submissive heart .
ወደ አላህ በንጹህ ልብ የመጣ ሰው ቢኾን እንጅ ፡ ፡ »

saying : exalt not yourselves against me , and come unto me submissive .
« በእኔ ላይ አትኩሩ ፡ ፡ ታዛዦችም ኾናችሁ ወደኔ ኑ ፤ ( የሚል ነው ) ፡ ፡

to him belongs everyone in the heavens and the earth . all are submissive to him .
በሰማያትና በምድር ያለው ሁሉ የእርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ለእርሱ ታዛዦች ናቸው ፡ ፡

all that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the beneficent god as his submissive servants .
በሰማያትና በምድር ያለው ሁሉ ( በትንሣኤ ቀን ) ለአልራሕማን ባሪያ ኾነው የሚመጡ እንጂ ሌላ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

it is he who has made the earth submissive to you . walk about in its land and eat of his provision .
እርሱ ያ ምድርን ለእናንተ የተገራች ያደረገላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ በጋራዎችዋና በመንገዶችዋም ኺዱ ፡ ፡ ፡ ከሲሳዩም ብሉ ፡ ፡ ( ኋላ ) መመለሻውም ወደእርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

and to him only belong all those who are in the heavens and the earth ; all are submissive to him .
በሰማያትና በምድር ያለው ሁሉ የእርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ለእርሱ ታዛዦች ናቸው ፡ ፡

and already we overtook them with chastisement , but they were not submissive to their lord , nor do they humble themselves .
በእርግጥም በቅጣት ያዝናቸው ፡ ፡ ታዲያ ለጌታቸው አልተናነሱም ፡ ፡ አይዋደቁምም ፡ ፡

be ever mindful of prayers , especially the middle prayer ; and stand up before god in submissive devotion .
በሶላቶች ( በተለይ ) በመካከለኛይቱም ሶላት ላይ ተጠባበቁ ፡ ፡ ታዛዦች ኾናችሁም ለአላህ ቁሙ ፡ ፡

and seek help through patience and prayer , and indeed , it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [ to allah ]
በመታገስና በሶላትም ተረዱ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ( ሶላት ) በፈሪዎች ላይ እንጅ በሌላው ላይ በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡

and whosoever of you is submissive unto allah and his messenger and doeth right , we shall give her her reward twice over , and we have prepared for her a rich provision .
ከእናንተም ለአላህና ለመልክተኛው የምትታዘዝ መልካም ሥራንም የምትሠራ ምንዳዋን ሁለት ጊዜ እንሰጣታለን ፡ ፡ ለእርሷም የከበረን ሲሳይ አዘጋጅተንላታል ፡ ፡

it is he who apportions the means of livelihood among them in this world , and raises some in position over the others to make some others submissive . the favours of your lord are better than what they amass .
እነርሱ የጌታህን ችሮታ ያከፈፍላሉን ? እኛ በቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ኑሯቸውን በመካከላቸው አከፋፍለናል ፡ ፡ ከፊላቸውም ከፊሉን ሠራተኛ አድርጎ ይይዝ ዘንድ ከፊላቸውን ከከፊሉ በላይ በደረጃዎች ( በሀብት ) አበለጥን ፡ ፡ የጌታህም ጸጋ ( ገነት ) ከሚሰበስቡት ( ሃብት ) በላጨ ናት ፡ ፡

and make us submit , o lord , to your will , and our progeny a people submissive to you . teach us the way of worship and forgive our trespasses , for you are compassionate and merciful ;
« ጌታችን ሆይ ! ላነተ ታዛዦችም አድርገን ፡ ፡ ከዘሮቻችንም ላንተ ታዛዦች ሕዝቦችን ( አድርግ ) ፡ ፡ ሕግጋታችንንም አሳየን ፤ ( አሳውቀን ) ፡ ፡ በኛም ላይ ተመለስን ፤ አንተ ጸጸትን ተቀባዩ ሩኅሩኅ አንተ ብቻ ነህና ፡ ፡ »

lord , make us submissive to you ; make of our descendants a nation that will submit to you . teach us our rites of worship and turn to us with mercy ; you are the forgiving one and the merciful .
« ጌታችን ሆይ ! ላነተ ታዛዦችም አድርገን ፡ ፡ ከዘሮቻችንም ላንተ ታዛዦች ሕዝቦችን ( አድርግ ) ፡ ፡ ሕግጋታችንንም አሳየን ፤ ( አሳውቀን ) ፡ ፡ በኛም ላይ ተመለስን ፤ አንተ ጸጸትን ተቀባዩ ሩኅሩኅ አንተ ብቻ ነህና ፡ ፡ »

abraham charged his children with this , and so did jacob , saying : ' my sons , allah has chosen for you the religion . do not die except being submissive ( muslims ) '
በርሷም ( በሕግጋቲቱ ) ኢብራሂም ልጆቹን አዘዘ ፡ ፡ ያዕቁብም ( እንደዚሁ ልጆቹን አዘዘ ) ፡ ፡ « ልጆቼ ሆይ ! አላህ ለናንተ ሃይማኖትን መረጠ ፤ ስለዚህ እናንተ ሙስሊሞች ኾናችሁ እንጂ አትሙቱ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡
