they surely take it to be far away ,
እነርሱ ( ያንን ቀን ) ሩቅ አድርገው ያዩታል ፡ ፡

if we had revealed it to a nonarab ,
ከአዕጀሞች ባንዱ ላይ ባወረድነውም ኖሮ ፤

had we revealed it to a non-arab
ከአዕጀሞች ባንዱ ላይ ባወረድነውም ኖሮ ፤

had we revealed it to a man of obscure tongue
ከአዕጀሞች ባንዱ ላይ ባወረድነውም ኖሮ ፤

then we take it to ourselves , taking little by little .
ከዚያም ቀስ በቀስ ወደእኛ ሰብሰብነው ፡ ፡

and how many a community revolted against the ordinance of its lord and his messengers , and we called it to a stern account and punished it with dire punishment ,
ከከተማም ከጌታዋ ትዕዛዝ ከመልክተኞቹም ያመጸች ፣ ብርቱንም ቁጥጥር የተቆጣጠርናት ፣ መጥፎንም ቅጣት የቀጣናት ብዙ ናት ፡ ፡

god is he that looses the winds , that stir up cloud , then we drive it to a dead land and therewith revive the earth , after it is dead . even so is the uprising .
አላህም ያ ነፋሶችን የላከ ነው ፡ ፡ ደመናዎችንም ትቀሰቅሳለች ፤ ወደ ሙት ( ድርቅ ) አገርም እንነዳዋለን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ምድርን ከሞተች በኋላ ሕያው እናደርጋታለን ፡ ፡ ሙታንንም መቀስቀስ እንደዚሁ ነው ፡ ፡

said he , ' take it , and fear not ; we will restore it to its first state .
« ያዛት ፤ አትፍራም ፡ ፡ ወደ መጀመሪያ ጠባይዋ እንመልሳታለን » አለው ፡ ፡

and we send down water from the cloud according to a measure , then we cause it to settle in the earth , and most surely we are able to carry it away .
ከሰማይም ውሃን በልክ አወረድን ፡ ፡ በምድርም ውስጥ አስቀመጥነው ፡ ፡ እኛም እርሱን በማስወገድ ላይ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

' take it , and do not fear ' he said , ' we will restore it to its former state .
« ያዛት ፤ አትፍራም ፡ ፡ ወደ መጀመሪያ ጠባይዋ እንመልሳታለን » አለው ፡ ፡

those are they to whom we gave the book , the judgment , the prophethood ; so if these disbelieve in it , we have already entrusted it to a people who do not disbelieve in it .
እነዚህ እነዚያ መጻሕፍትንና ጥበብን ፣ ነቢይነትንም የሰጠናቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነዚህ ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) በእርሷ ቢክዱም በእርሷ የማይክዱን ሕዝቦች ለእርሷ በእርግጥ አዘጋጅተናል ፡ ፡

and thus we variously propound the revelation , and this is in order that they may say : thou hast studied , and that we may expound it to a people who know .
እንደዚሁም « ( እንዲገመግሙና ያለፉትን መጻሕፍት ) አጥንተሃልም » እንዲሉ ለሚያውቁ ሕዝቦችም ( ቁርኣንን ) እንድናብራራው አንቀጾችን እንገልጻለን ፡ ፡

those are the ones to whom we gave the scripture and authority and prophethood . but if the disbelievers deny it , then we have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers .
እነዚህ እነዚያ መጻሕፍትንና ጥበብን ፣ ነቢይነትንም የሰጠናቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነዚህ ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) በእርሷ ቢክዱም በእርሷ የማይክዱን ሕዝቦች ለእርሷ በእርግጥ አዘጋጅተናል ፡ ፡

those are the ones to whom we gave the scripture , wisdom , and prophethood . if these people [ the makkans ] reject it , we shall entrust it to a people who will never refuse to acknowledge it .
እነዚህ እነዚያ መጻሕፍትንና ጥበብን ፣ ነቢይነትንም የሰጠናቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ እነዚህ ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) በእርሷ ቢክዱም በእርሷ የማይክዱን ሕዝቦች ለእርሷ በእርግጥ አዘጋጅተናል ፡ ፡

and give the women ( on marriage ) their dower as a free gift ; but if they , of their own good pleasure , remit any part of it to you , take it and enjoy it with right good cheer .
ሴቶችንም መህሮቻቸውን በደስታ ስጡ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ከእርሱ አንዳችን ነገር ነፍሶቻቸው ቢለግሱ መልካም ምስጉን ሲኾን ብሉት ፡ ፡

and he it is who sends forth the winds bearing good news before his mercy , until , when they bring up a laden cloud , we drive it to a dead land , then we send down water on it , then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds ; thus shall we bring forth the dead that you may be mindful .
እርሱም ያ ነፋሶችን ከችሮታው ( ከዝናም ) በፊት አብሳሪዎች አድርጎ የሚልክ ነው ፡ ፡ ከባዳዎችንም ደመናዎች በተሸከሙ ጊዜ ሙት ወደ ኾነ አገር እንነዳዋለን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ውሃን እናወርዳለን ፡ ፡ ከፍሬዎችም ሁሉ በእርሱ እናወጣለን ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ትገነዘቡ ዘንድ ሙታንን ( ከመቃብር ) እናወጣለን ፡ ፡

and it is he who sends forth winds as glad tidings in advance of his mercy , and when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud we drive it to a dead land , then we send down rain from it and bring forth therwith fruits of every kind . in this manner do we raise the dead that you may take heed .
እርሱም ያ ነፋሶችን ከችሮታው ( ከዝናም ) በፊት አብሳሪዎች አድርጎ የሚልክ ነው ፡ ፡ ከባዳዎችንም ደመናዎች በተሸከሙ ጊዜ ሙት ወደ ኾነ አገር እንነዳዋለን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ውሃን እናወርዳለን ፡ ፡ ከፍሬዎችም ሁሉ በእርሱ እናወጣለን ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ትገነዘቡ ዘንድ ሙታንን ( ከመቃብር ) እናወጣለን ፡ ፡

and he it is who sendeth the winds as tidings heralding his mercy , till , when they bear a cloud heavy ( with rain ) , we lead it to a dead land , and then cause water to descend thereon and thereby bring forth fruits of every kind . thus bring we forth the dead .
እርሱም ያ ነፋሶችን ከችሮታው ( ከዝናም ) በፊት አብሳሪዎች አድርጎ የሚልክ ነው ፡ ፡ ከባዳዎችንም ደመናዎች በተሸከሙ ጊዜ ሙት ወደ ኾነ አገር እንነዳዋለን ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ውሃን እናወርዳለን ፡ ፡ ከፍሬዎችም ሁሉ በእርሱ እናወጣለን ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ትገነዘቡ ዘንድ ሙታንን ( ከመቃብር ) እናወጣለን ፡ ፡

" this is the benevolence of my lord , " he said ; " but when the promise of my lord comes to pass , he will reduce it to a mound of dust ; and the promise of my lord is true . "
« ይህ ( ግድብ ) ከጌታዬ ችሮታ ነው ፡ ፡ የጌታየም ቀጠሮ በመጣ ጊዜ ትክክል ምድር ያደርገዋል ፡ ፡ የጌታዬም ቀጠሮ ተረጋገጠ ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

“ the last day will surely come – it was close that i hide it from all in – order that every soul may get the reward of its effort . ” ( he revealed it to his prophets , so that people may fear and get ready .
« ሰዓቲቱ በእርግጥ መጪናት ፡ ፡ ልደብቃት እቃረባለሁ ፡ ፡ ነፍስ ሁሉ በምትሠራው ነገር ትመነዳ ዘንድ ( መጭ ናት ) ፡ ፡
