give not , thinking to gain greater
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

do not give , thinking to gain greater
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

thinking his riches have made him immortal !
ገንዘቡ የሚያዘወትረው መኾኑን ያስባል ፡ ፡

there surely is an oath for thinking man .
በዚህ ( መሓላ ) ለባለ አእምሮ ታላቅ መሓላ አለበትን ?

thinking his wealth will render him immortal !
ገንዘቡ የሚያዘወትረው መኾኑን ያስባል ፡ ፡

if you want to go big,then stop thinking small
ትልቅ መሄድ ከፈለጉ ትንሽ ማሰብ አቁሙ

thinking he would never revert ( to us ) .
እርሱ ( ወደ አላህ ) የማይመለስ መኾኑን አስቧልና ፡ ፡

thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever !
ገንዘቡ የሚያዘወትረው መኾኑን ያስባል ፡ ፡

erect palaces ( thinking ) that you will live for ever ,
« የውሃ ማጠራቀሚያዎችንና ሕንፃዎችንም ዘላለም መኖርን የምትከጅሉ ኾናችሁ ትሠራላችሁን

they set out early in the morning , thinking they had the power to prevent .
( ድኾችን ) በመከልከልም ላይ ( በሐሳባቸው ) ቻዮች ኾነው ማለዱ ፡ ፡

this is the straight path leading to your lord . we have made the signs clear for thinking men .
ይህም ( ያለህበት ) ቀጥተኛ ሲኾን የጌታህ መንገድ ነው ፡ ፡ ለሚያስታውሱ ሕዝቦች አንቀጾችን በእርግጥ ዘርዝረናል ፡ ፡

and among them are unlettered ones who do not know the scripture except in wishful thinking , but they are only assuming .
ከነሱም መጽሐፉን የማያውቁ መሃይማናን አሉ ፡ ፡ ግን ከንቱ ምኞቶችን ( ይመኛሉ ) ፤ እነርሱም የሚጠራጠሩ እንጂ ሌላ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

there are among them unlettered people who have no real knowledge of the scriptures , knowing only their own wishful thinking and following only conjecture .
ከነሱም መጽሐፉን የማያውቁ መሃይማናን አሉ ፡ ፡ ግን ከንቱ ምኞቶችን ( ይመኛሉ ) ፤ እነርሱም የሚጠራጠሩ እንጂ ሌላ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

on that day he will call you , and you will answer by praising him , thinking that you have stayed for only a little while . "
( እርሱም ) የሚጠራችሁና ( አላህን ) አመስጋኞቹ ኾናችሁ ጥሪውን የምትቀበሉበት ጥቂትንም ( ቀኖች ) እንጂ ያልቆያችሁ መኾናችሁን የምትጠራጠሩበት ቀን ነው ፤ ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

some he has guided and some have earned misguidance : they have taken devils rather than god as their patrons , thinking that they are rightly guided .
ከፊሉን ወደ ቅን መንገድ መራ ፡ ፡ ከፊሎቹም በእነሱ ላይ ጥመት ተረጋግጦባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ሰይጣናትን ከአላህ ሌላ ረዳቶች አድርገው ይዘዋልና ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ( ቅኑን መንገድ ) የተመራን ነን ብለው ያስባሉ ፡ ፡

" by god , " said they , " you will never stop thinking of joseph till you are consumed or perish . "
( እነርሱም ) « በአላህ እንምላለን ፡ ፡ ለጥፋት የቀረብክ እስከምትሆን ወይም ከጠፊዎቹ እስከምትሆን ድረስ ዩሱፍን ከማውሳት አትወገድም » አሉ ፡ ፡

allah has brought you forth from your mothers ' wombs when you knew nothing , and then gave you hearing , and sight and thinking hearts so that you may give thanks .
አላህም ከእናቶቻችሁ ሆዶች ምንም የማታውቁ ሆናችሁ አወጣችሁ ፡ ፡ ታመሰግኑም ዘንድ ለእናንተ መስሚያን ማያዎችንም ልቦችንም አደረገላችሁ ፡ ፡
