he promiseth them and stirreth up desires in them , and satan promiseth them only to beguile .
« يعدهم » طول العمر « ويمنيهم » نيل الآمال في الدنيا وألا بعث ولا جزاء « وما يعدهم الشيطان » بذلك « إلا غرورا » باطلا .

« الشيطان يعدكم الفقر » يخوفكم به إن تصدقتم فتمسكوا « ويأمركم بالفحشاء » البخل ومنع الزكاة « والله يعدكم » على الإنفاق « مغفرة منه » لذنوبكم « وفضلا » رزقا خلفا منه « والله واسع » فضله « عليم » بالمنفق .

promiseth he unto you that ye , when ye have died and have become dust and bones , ye are to be brought forth ?
« أيعدكم أنكم إذا متُّم وكنتم تراباً وعظاماً أنكم مخرجون » هو خبر أنكم الأولى وأنكم الثانية تأكيد لها لما طال الفصل .

allah promiseth the hypocrites , both men and women , and the disbelievers fire of hell for their abode . it will suffice them .
« وعد الله المنافقين والمنافقات والكفار نار جهنم خالدين فيها هي حسبهم » جزاءً وعقابا « ولعنهم الله » أبعدهم عن رحمته « ولهم عذاب مقيم » دائم .

satan promiseth you poverty and commandeth you to niggardliness , whereas allah promiseth you forgiveness from himself and abundance ; and allah is bounteous , knowing .
« الشيطان يعدكم الفقر » يخوفكم به إن تصدقتم فتمسكوا « ويأمركم بالفحشاء » البخل ومنع الزكاة « والله يعدكم » على الإنفاق « مغفرة منه » لذنوبكم « وفضلا » رزقا خلفا منه « والله واسع » فضله « عليم » بالمنفق .

and excite any of them whom thou canst with thy voice , and urge thy horse and foot against them , and be a partner in their wealth and children , and promise them . satan promiseth them only to deceive .
« واستفزز » استخف « من استطعت منهم بصوتك » بدعائك بالغناء والمزامير وكل داع إلى المعصية « وأجلب » صحْ « عليهم بخيلك ورجلك » وهم الركاب والمشاة في المعاصي « وشاركهم في الأموال » المحرمة كالربا والغصب « والأولاد » من الزنى « وعدهم » بأن لا بعث ولا جزاء « وما يعدهم الشيطان » بذلك « إلا غرورا » باطلاً .

and unsettle thou whomsoever of them thou canst with thy voice , and summon against them thine horse and thine foot , and share with them riches- and children , and promise unto them ; and the satan promiseth not but to delude .
« واستفزز » استخف « من استطعت منهم بصوتك » بدعائك بالغناء والمزامير وكل داع إلى المعصية « وأجلب » صحْ « عليهم بخيلك ورجلك » وهم الركاب والمشاة في المعاصي « وشاركهم في الأموال » المحرمة كالربا والغصب « والأولاد » من الزنى « وعدهم » بأن لا بعث ولا جزاء « وما يعدهم الشيطان » بذلك « إلا غرورا » باطلاً .
