he does not fear the consequence.
އަދި އެ عذاب ގެ ނަތީޖާއާމެދު، އެކަލާނގެ ބިރުވެތިވެވޮޑިގެނެއްނުވެއެވެ.

and he fears not its consequence.
އަދި އެ عذاب ގެ ނަތީޖާއާމެދު، އެކަލާނގެ ބިރުވެތިވެވޮޑިގެނެއްނުވެއެވެ.

and he feared not the consequence thereof
އަދި އެ عذاب ގެ ނަތީޖާއާމެދު، އެކަލާނގެ ބިރުވެތިވެވޮޑިގެނެއްނުވެއެވެ.

and he does not fear the consequence thereof.
އަދި އެ عذاب ގެ ނަތީޖާއާމެދު، އެކަލާނގެ ބިރުވެތިވެވޮޑިގެނެއްނުވެއެވެ.

then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds.
ކޮންމެ نفس އަކަށްމެ، އެ نفس އެއް حاضر ކުޅަކަމެއް (އެހިނދު) އެނގޭނެތެވެ.

so we requited them. then see the nature of the consequence for the rejecters!
ފަހެ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެކިބައިން ބަދަލުހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، ދޮގުކުރާ މީހުންގެ ނިމުންވަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންކަން ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

indeed some people before you had asked such questions and in consequence fell into unbelief.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކުރިން އުޅުނު ބަޔަކުވެސް، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެފަދަ سؤال ކުރިއެވެ. ދެން (އެކަންކަމުގެ حكم ބަޔާންކުރެއްވި ހިނދު) އެކަންކަމަށް كافر ވި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވިއެވެ.

and it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންކުޅަ ކަންތަކުގެ ނަތީޖާގެ ރަހަ އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އެކަންތަކުގެ ނިމުންވީ ގެއްލުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

my lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."
އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އެއުރެންކުރާ عمل ން މިއަޅާއާއި މިއަޅާގެ أهل ވެރިން ސަލާމަތް ކުރައްވާނދޭވެ!

wherefore they tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and the end of their affair was loss.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެންކުޅަ ކަންތަކުގެ ނަތީޖާގެ ރަހަ އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންގެ އެކަންތަކުގެ ނިމުންވީ ގެއްލުމެއް ކަމުގައެވެ.

and we rained a rain upon them. see now the nature of the consequence of evil-doers!
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް (ހިލައިގެ) ވާރެެއެއް ވެއްސެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، ކުށްވެރިންގެ ނިމުންހުރީ ކިހިނަކުންކަން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

just like those who tasted the evil consequence of their conduct recently before them, and there is a painful punishment for them.
އެއުރެންނަށްވުރެ ތަންކޮޅެއްކުރިން އުޅުނު މީހުން ފަދައިންނެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ނުބައި عمل ގެ ރަހަ، އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް (آخرة ގައި) ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

and the consequence for both will be that they are in the fire, therein abiding. such is the reward of evil-doers.
އެ ދެމީހުންގެ ނިމުމެއް ކަމުގައިވާނީ، އެ ދެމީހުން ނަރަކަޔަށް ވަނުމެވެ. އެތާނގައި، އެއުރެން ދެމިތިބެނިވި ގޮތުގައެވެ. އަދި އެއީ އަނިޔާވެރިންގެ ޖަޒާއެވެ.

(xii) give full measure when you measure, and weigh with even scales. that is fair and better in consequence.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން މިނާހިނދު، މިނުން ހަމަކޮށް ފުރިހަމަކުރާށެވެ! އަދި ސީދާވެގެންވާ ހަމަތިލަފަތުން ކިރާށެވެ! އެގޮތް (ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް) ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ. އަދި ނަތީޖާގެގޮތުން ރިވެތިކަން ބޮޑުމެއެވެ.

god gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your lord for reward, and better for consequence.
ތެދުމަގު ލިބިގެންފި މީހުންނަށް اللَّه ތެދުމަގު ދެއްކެވުން އިތުރުކުރައްވަތެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި، ثواب ލިބުމުގެގޮތުން އެންމެ ހެޔޮވެގެންވަނީ، އަދި ނަތީޖާގެގޮތުން އެންމެ ހެޔޮވެގެންވަނީ، ދެމިހުންނަނިވި صالح عمل ތަކެވެ.

hath not the tidings reached you of those who disbelieved aforetime, and so tasted the evil consequence of their affair, and theirs will be a torment afflictive?
މީގެކުރިން كافر ވިމީހުންގެ خبر، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާ ހަމަޔަކަށް ނާދޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެއުރެންކުޅަ ކަންތަކުގެ ނުބައި ނަތީޖާގެ ރަހަ، އެއުރެން ލިބިގަތޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

systems have passed away before you. do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers).
(އެކިއެކި أمّة ތަކާމެދު) ހިނގައިދިޔަ ކަންތައްތަކެއް ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ކުރިން އިސްވެ ހިނގައްޖެކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ދަތުރުފަތުރުކޮށް އުޅޭށެވެ! ދެން، ދޮގުކުޅަ މީހުންގެ ނަތީޖާއޮތީ ކޮންފަދަޔަކުންތޯ ނިކަން ބަލައިބަލާށެވެ!

and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers!
އަދި އެ آية ތައް އެއީ، ތެދުކަން އެއުރެންގެ نفس ތަކަށް يقين ވެތިބެ، އަނިޔާވެރިކަމާއި، ބޮޑާވެގަތުމުގެ ގޮތުން، އެ آية ތަކަށް އެއުރެން إنكار ކުރޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، فساد ކުރާމީހުންގެ ނިމުންވަނީ ކިހިނަކުންކަން، ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ!

[theirs is] like the example of those shortly before them: they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.
އެއުރެންނަށްވުރެ ތަންކޮޅެއްކުރިން އުޅުނު މީހުން ފަދައިންނެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ނުބައި عمل ގެ ރަހަ، އެއުރެންނަށް ލިބުނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް (آخرة ގައި) ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ހުށްޓެވެ.

say (o muhammad, to the disbelievers): travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for those who were before you! most of them were idolaters.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބިމުގައި ދަތުރުފަތުރުކޮށް އުޅޭށެވެ! ދެން ކުރިން އުޅުނު މީހުންގެ ނިމުންއޮތީ ކޮންފަދައަކުންތޯ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ބަލައި ވިސްނާށެވެ! އޭގެތެރެއިން ގިނަމީހުން مشرك ން ކަމުގައިވޫއެވެ.
