or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. they put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death.
ނުވަތަ އެއުރެންގެ މިސާލަކީ، އެ ވިލާގަނޑެއްގައި އަނދިރިތަކަކާއި ގުގުރުމާއި ވިދުން (އެކުލެވިފައި) ވާގޮތުގައި އުޑުމަތީގައިވާ ވާރޭވިލާގަނޑެއްގެ މިސާލެވެ. ހޮނުގެ ސަބަބުން މަރުވެދާނެކަމަށް ބިރުން، އެއުރެންގެ ކަންފަތްތަކުގައި އެއުރެންގެ އިނގިލިތައް އަޅަތެވެ. اللَّه އީ، އެ كافر ންގެ ހުރިހައި ކަމެއް ފުރިހަމައަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

or (still another parable may be cited to depict their condition): heavy rain is falling from the sky, accompanied by pitch darkness, thunder and lightning. when they hear the thunderclap, they thrust their fingers into their ears for fear of death, but allah is encircling the disbelievers on all sides.
ނުވަތަ އެއުރެންގެ މިސާލަކީ، އެ ވިލާގަނޑެއްގައި އަނދިރިތަކަކާއި ގުގުރުމާއި ވިދުން (އެކުލެވިފައި) ވާގޮތުގައި އުޑުމަތީގައިވާ ވާރޭވިލާގަނޑެއްގެ މިސާލެވެ. ހޮނުގެ ސަބަބުން މަރުވެދާނެކަމަށް ބިރުން، އެއުރެންގެ ކަންފަތްތަކުގައި އެއުރެންގެ އިނގިލިތައް އަޅަތެވެ. اللَّه އީ، އެ كافر ންގެ ހުރިހައި ކަމެއް ފުރިހަމައަށް ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.
