and we destroyed no township but it had its warners
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and indeed that township is upon a road still in use.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެ ރަށްވަނީ ސާބިތުވެ ފެންނަންއޮތް މަގެއްގައިކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and never did we destroy a township, but it had its warners
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and we destroyed no township but there was a known decree for it.
އެ ރަށަކަށް ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ މުއްދަތެއްވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

އެ ރަށަކަށް ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ މުއްދަތެއްވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and never did we destroy a township which did not have heralds of warning, –
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and how many a township did i suffer long though it was sinful! then i grasped it.
އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވީ ހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ مهلة ދެއްވީ ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ދެން އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް عقوبات ދެއްވައި ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. އަދި (އެއުރެން) رجوع ވުންވަނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

and assuredly they have gone by the township whereon was rained the evil rain. are they not wont to see it?
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ނުބައިކަމުގެ ވާރެއިން ވާރޭވެހުނު ރަށް (އެބަހީ: لوط ބާގައިމީހުން އުޅުނު سَدُوم އެވެ ކިޔާ ރަށް) ކަޑައްތުކޮށް އެއުރެން އައޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެތަން ދެކޭކަމުގައި ނުވޭހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އަލުން ދިރުއްވުމަކަށް ފޮނުއްވާނެ ކަމާމެދު، ބިރުވެތިނުވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި އެއުރެންވޫއެވެ.

and we sent no prophet unto any township but we did afflict its folk with tribulation and adversity that haply they might grow humble.
އެރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް ދަތިކަމާއި، ބަލިމަޑުކަން ނުޖައްސަވާ އެއްވެސް ރަށަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ނަބިއްޔަކު ނުފޮނުއްވަމެވެ. އެއީ އެމީހުން މަޑުމޮޅިވުމަށެވެ.

and how many a township we have destroyed, upon them our violence came at night or while they were taking their midday rest.
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކޯފާލައްވައި، ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވީ ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، ރޭގަނޑުގައި، ނުވަތަ މެންދުރު އެއުރެން ނިދާފައި ތިއްބައި އެ ރަށްތަކަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب އައެވެ.

ask the township where we were, and the caravan with which we travelled hither. lo! we speak the truth.
އަދި ތިމަންމެންގޮސް ތިބި ރަށުގެ މީހުންނާ، އަދި ތިމަންމެން އޭގައި ދަތުރުކޮށްފައި އައި قافلة ގެ މީހުންނާ سؤال ކުރައްވާށެވެ! އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެންނީ ތެދުބުނާ ބަޔަކީމުއެވެ.

and to many a township did i give respite although they were oppressors; then i seized them; and towards me is the return.
އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވީ ހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ مهلة ދެއްވީ ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ދެން އެ ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް عقوبات ދެއްވައި ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. އަދި (އެއުރެން) رجوع ވުންވަނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

and we gave lut the kingdom and knowledge, and we rescued him from the township that committed vile deeds; indeed those evil people were disobedient.
لوط ގެފާނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حكمة ތެރިކަމާއި، علم ދެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ނުބައި ފާފަތައް ކޮށްއުޅުނު ރަށުގެ (މީހުންގެ) ކިބައިން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނު ސަލާމަތްކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންވީ، ނުބައިކަމުގެ أهل ވެރި، فاسق ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

"for we are going to bring down on the people of this township a punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious."
(ملائكة ން ވިދާޅުވޫއެވެ.) ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން މިރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ މައްޗަށް، އެއުރެން فاسق ވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން (اللَّه ގެ أمر ފުޅަށް) އުޑުން عذاب އެއް ފޮނުވާހުށީމެވެ.

and many a township did we destroy, for they were oppressors – so they now lie flat on their roofs, and many a well lying useless and many a palace in ruins.
އެރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން، އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވީހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވީ ކިތައްކިތައްރަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެ ރަށްރަށްވަނީ، ފުރާޅުތަކާއި، عمارات ތައް ވެއްޓި ފުނޑުފުނޑުވެފައެވެ. އަދި (އެ ރަށްރަށުގައިވަނީ) ފަޅުވެފައިވާ ކިތައްކިތައް ވަޅާއި، އުސްކޮށް ބިނާކޮށްފައިވާ ކިތައްކިތައް ގަނޑުވަރު ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and how many a township stronger than thy township (o muhammad) which hath cast thee out, have we destroyed, and they had no helper!
ކަލޭގެފާނު އެ ރަށަކުން ބޭރުކޮށް ނެރެލި، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ރަށަށްވުރެ ބާރުގަދަ ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރައްވައި ނެތިކުރެއްވިންހެއްޔެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް نصر ދޭނޭ އެއްވެސް މީހަކު ނުވެއެވެ.

there is not a township but we shall destroy it ere the day of resurrection, or punish it with dire punishment. that is set forth in the book (of our decrees).
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ قيامة ދުވަހުގެ ކުރިން ހަލާކު ނުކުރައްވާ އެއްވެސް (އަނިޔާވެރި) ރަށެއް ނުވެއެވެ. ނުވަތަ ގަދަވެގެންވާ عذاب އަކުން عذاب ނުދެއްވާ ރަށެއްވެސް ނުވެއެވެ. ފޮތުގައި (އެބަހީ: اللوح المحفوظ ގައި) ލިޔުއްވާފައިވާ ކަމެއްކަމުގައި އެކަންތައްވިއެވެ.

and it is forbidden for any township which we have destroyed, that they may return. (once the disbelievers face death, their return to earth is impossible.)
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވި ރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިން އެނބުރި (ދުނިޔެއަށް) ނާންނާނެކަމަށް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވެއެވެ.

and when our messengers brought abraham the good news, they said: lo! we are about to destroy the people of that township, for its people are wrong-doers.
އުފާވެރިކަމުގެ خبر އާއިގެން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ފޮނުއްވި ملائكة ން إبراهيم ގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް ވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު، އެބޭކަލުން ވިދާޅުވޫއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން ފޮނުއްވެވީ މިރަށުގެ (އެބަހީ: لوط ގެފާނުގެ ރަށުގެ) أهل ވެރިން ހަލާކު ކުރުމަށެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެ ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންވީ އަނިޔާވެރިން ކަމުގައެވެ.

all the townships afflicted with scourge are before your eyes. when they committed wrong, we destroyed them.
އަދި އެއީ އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވީހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވި ރަށްތަކުގެ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ހަލާކުވެދިއުމަށް ކަނޑައެޅިގެންވާ ވަގުތެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ.
