ኢየሱስም ተነሥቶ ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ጋር ተከተለው።
and jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

ከጸሎትም ተነሥቶ ወደ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ መጣና ከኀዘን የተነሣ ተኝተው ሲያገኛቸው።
and when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

ክርስቶስ ከሙታን ተነሥቶ ወደ ፊት እንዳይሞት ሞትም ወደ ፊት እንዳይገዛው እናውቃለንና።
knowing that christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

በዚህም ወራት ጴጥሮስ መቶ ሀያ በሚያህል በሰዎች ማኅበር አብረው በነበሩ በወንድሞቹ መካከል ተነሥቶ አለ።
and in those days peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

ሊቀ ካህናቱም ተነሥቶ። እነዚህ ለሚመሰክሩብህ አንድ ስንኳ አትመልስምን? አለው።
and the high priest arose, and said unto him, answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

ነገር ግን በሕዝብ ሁሉ ዘንድ የከበረ የሕግ መምህር ገማልያል የሚሉት አንድ ፈሪሳዊ በሸንጎ ተነሥቶ ሐዋርያትን ጥቂት ፈቀቅ እንዲያደርጉአቸው አዘዘ፥
then stood there up one in the council, a pharisee, named gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

ከዚያም ተነሥቶ ወደ ጢሮስና ወደ ሲዶና አገር ሄደ። ወደ ቤትም ገብቶ ማንም እንዳያውቅበት ወደደ ሊሰወርም አልተቻለውም፤
and from thence he arose, and went into the borders of tyre and sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

ጳውሎስም ከጓደኞቹ ጋር ከጳፉ ተነሥቶ የጵንፍልያ ወደምትሆን ወደ ጴርጌን መጣ፤ ዮሐንስም ከእነርሱ ተለይቶ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ተመለሰ።

and when there had been much disputing, peter rose up, and said unto them, men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago god made choice among us, that the gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

ሊቀ ካህናቱም በመካከላቸው ተነሥቶ። አንዳች አትመልስምን? እነዚህስ በአንተ ላይ የሚመሰክሩብህ ምንድር ነው? ብሎ ኢየሱስን ጠየቀው።
and the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked jesus, saying, answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?
