ኢየሱስም። ከፈሪሳውያንና ከሰዱቃውያን እርሾ ተጠንቀቁና ተጠበቁ አላቸው።
then jesus said unto them, take heed and beware of the leaven of the pharisees and of the sadducees.

በንግግርም ሊያጠምዱት ከፈሪሳውያንና ከሄሮድስ ወገን የሆኑትን ወደ እርሱ ላኩ።
and they send unto him certain of the pharisees and of the herodians, to catch him in his words.

እነርሱም ከፈሪሳውያንና ከሰዱቃውያን ትምህርት እንጂ ከእንጀራ እርሾ እንዲጠበቁ እንዳላላቸው ያን ጊዜ አስተዋሉ።
then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the pharisees and of the sadducees.

ዳሩ ግን ከፈሪሳውያንና ከሰዱቃውያን ብዙዎች ወደ ጥምቀቱ ሲመጡ ባየ ጊዜ፥ እንዲህ አላቸው። እናንተ የእፉኝት ልጆች፥ ከሚመጣው ቍጣ እንድትሸሹ ማን አመለከታችሁ?
but when he saw many of the pharisees and sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, o generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
