and take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

idcirco haec dicit dominus deus pro eo quod recordati estis iniquitatis vestrae et revelastis praevaricationes vestras et apparuerunt peccata vestra in omnibus cogitationibus vestris pro eo inquam quod recordati estis manu capiemin
therefore thus saith the lord god; because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, i say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

et non poterat dominus ultra portare propter malitiam studiorum vestrorum et propter abominationes quas fecistis et facta est terra vestra in desolationem et in stuporem et in maledictum eo quod non sit habitator sicut est dies hae
so that the lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
