(2023), titled “voices of new and unprepared teachers serving marginalized: lived experiences, school leader perspectives, and suggestion for change”. the result of the importance of ongoing learning for promoting equity and social justice in school systems. it requires creating safe spaces for stakeholders to honestly discuss their biases and roles as educators. leaders should ensure these spaces exist and provide staff with the necessary knowledge to have these conversations. incorporating equity and social justice in decision-making processes helps new teachers understand the challenges faced by marginalized students. according to stathulis, c. (2023) titled “going broke: a case study examining the professional development needs of novice teachers in demographically diverse schools in the midwest. the beginning objective of this study was to examine novice teachers' preparedness and professional learning needs to effectively teach in diverse school settings within a large suburban school district in the midwest. the premise was that if school leadership provided extensive culturally relevant professional learning through induction programs, novice teachers would be better equipped to teach in demographically diverse schools. her motivation for this research developed as she worked with novice teachers within their diverse schools. the lack of literature supporting novice teachers working in diverse schools further fueled this research. her goal for this research was to identify the shared struggles of these teachers to specify the professional learning support they needed, thereby serving as a resource for school leaders implementing induction programs within diverse schools. in the study of tarbutton, t. (2023) titled “impacts of participating in a tailored community of practice for newly hired teachers”. the researcher aims to create a community practice for newly hired teachers to help them recollect the teachers' sense of belonging at their schools and their professional identities as educators. the researcher explained that teachers have expressed feeling exhausted and burnt out from the profession and when the covid-19 pandemic hit, it caused the rates of teachers leaving the profession to be higher than what had occurred in the past. furthermore, the research results suggested that teachers valued getting to know their colleagues and learning unique classroom practices and that their participation in the community of practice had a positive impact on their sense of belonging at their new schools.
