na ingieni katika mlango wake kwa unyenyekevu, tupate kukusameheni makosa yenu. walio wema tutawazidishia.

basi, sisi tunapaswa kuwasaidia watu hawa, ili nasi tupate kushiriki katika kazi yao kwa ajili ya ukweli.

zaidi ya hayo sisi tunawaheshimu wazazi wetu waliotuzaa hata wanapotuadhibu. basi, tunapaswa kumtii zaidi baba yetu wa kiroho ili tupate kuishi.
furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the father of spirits, and live?

kwa ajili ya wafalme na wote wenye mamlaka, ili tupate kuishi maisha ya utulivu na amani pamoja na uchaji wa mungu na mwenendo mwema.
for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

wanariadha hujipa mazoezi na nidhamu kali; hufanya hivyo ili wajipatie taji iharibikayo! lakini sisi twafanya hivyo tupate taji ya kudumu daima.

wazazi wetu hapa duniani walituadhibu kwa muda, kama wao wenyewe walivyoona kuwa vema; lakini mungu anatuadhibu kwa ajili ya faida yetu wenyewe, tupate kuushiriki utakatifu wake.
for they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

yeye mwenyewe alizibeba dhambi zetu katika mwili wake juu ya msalaba, tupate kufa kuhusu dhambi, na kuishi kwa ajili ya uadilifu. kwa majeraha yake, ninyi mmeponywa.
who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

siku wanaafiki wanaume na wanaafiki wanawake watapo waambia walio amini: tungojeni ili tupate mwangaza katika nuru yenu. waambiwe: rejeeni nyuma yenu mkaitafute nuru!
on that day the hypocrites, both men and women, will say to the believers: 'wait for us so that we can take from your light' but they will be answered: 'go back and seek a light' and a wall with a door shall be between them.

na vivyo hivyo tumekufanyeni muwe umma wa wasitani, ili muwe mashahidi juu ya watu, na mtume awe ni shahidi juu yenu. na hatukukifanya kibla ulicho kuwa nacho ila tupate kumjua yule anaye mfuata mtume na yule anaye geuka akarejea nyuma.
and so it is that we have made you the best nation* for you are witnesses** against mankind, and the noble messenger is your guardian and your witness; and (o dear prophet mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) we had appointed the qiblah which you formerly observed only to see (test) who follows the noble messenger, and who turns away; and it was indeed hard except for those whom allah guided; and it does not befit allah’s majesty to waste your faith!

basi walipo rejea kwa baba yao, walisema: ewe baba yetu! tumenyimwa chakula zaidi, basi mpeleke nasi ndugu yetu ili tupate kupimiwa; na yakini sisi tutamlinda.
so when they returned to their father, they said, "o our father, [further] measure has been denied to us, so send with us our brother [that] we will be given measure. and indeed, we will be his guardians."

na pale walipo ambiwa: kaeni katika mji huu, na mle humo mpendapo, na semeni: tufutie dhambi zetu. na ingieni katika mlango wake kwa unyenyekevu, tupate kukusameheni makosa yenu.
and (remember) when it was said to them: "dwell in this town (jerusalem) and eat therefrom wherever you wish, and say, '(o allah) forgive our sins'; and enter the gate prostrate (bowing with humility). we shall forgive you your wrong-doings.
