ኢየሱስም እንባውን አፈሰሰ።
jesus wept.

ኢየሱስም። ወንድምሽ ይነሣል አላት።
jesus saith unto her, thy brother shall rise again.

እግዚአብሔር ኃይሌ ነው ኢየሱስም እረኛዬ ነው
god is my strength and jesus is my shepherd

ኢየሱስም ሁለተኛ በታላቅ ድምፅ ጮኾ ነፍሱን ተወ።
jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። በእግዚአብሔር እመኑ።
and jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in god.

ኢየሱስም ደግሞ ደቀ መዛሙርቱም ወደ ሰርጉ ታደሙ።
and both jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

ኢየሱስም መጣና እንጀራ አንሥቶ ሰጣቸው፥ እንዲሁም ዓሣውን።
jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

ኢየሱስም መለሰ ደግሞም በምሳሌ ነገራቸው እንዲህም አለ።
and jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

ኢየሱስም መልሶ። አሥሩ አልነጹምን? ዘጠኙስ ወዴት አሉ?
and jesus answering said, were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። ማንም እንዳያስታችሁ ተጠንቀቁ።
and jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you.

ኢየሱስም ለአሥራ ሁለቱ። እናንተ ደግሞ ልትሄዱ ትወዳላችሁን? አለ።
then said jesus unto the twelve, will ye also go away?

ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። ስለ ልባችሁ ጥንካሬ ይህችን ትእዛዝ ጻፈላችሁ።
and jesus answered and said unto them, for the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አለው። አንተ የእስራኤል መምህር ስትሆን ይህን አታውቅምን?
jesus answered and said unto him, art thou a master of israel, and knowest not these things?

ኢየሱስም መለሰላቸው፥ እንዲህ ሲል። የሰው ልጅ ይከብር ዘንድ ሰዓቱ ደርሶአል።
and jesus answered them, saying, the hour is come, that the son of man should be glorified.

ኢየሱስም መንፈስ ቅዱስ መልቶበት ከዮርዳኖስ ተመለሰ፥ በመንፈስም ወደ ምድረ በዳ ተመርቶ፥
and jesus being full of the holy ghost returned from jordan, and was led by the spirit into the wilderness,

ኢየሱስም እንዲህ አላቸው። ጊዜዬ ገና አልደረሰም፥ ጊዜያችሁ ግን ዘወትር የተመቸ ነው።
then jesus said unto them, my time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.

ኢየሱስም እንዲህ አለው። ጌታ አምላክህን በፍጹም ልብህ በፍጹም ነፍስህም በፍጹም አሳብህም ውደድ።
jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the lord thy god with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። መጻሕፍትንና የእግዚአብሔርን ኃይል አታውቁምና ስለዚህ የምትስቱ አይደለምን?
and jesus answering said unto them, do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of god?

ኢየሱስም። ሙታናቸውን እንዲቀብሩ ሙታንን ተዋቸው፤ አንተስ ሄደህ የእግዚአብሔርን መንግሥት ስበክ አለው።
jesus said unto him, let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of god.

እንግዲህ። አንተ ማን ነህ? አሉት። ኢየሱስም። ከመጀመሪያ ለእናንተ የተናገርሁት ነኝ።
then said they unto him, who art thou? and jesus saith unto them, even the same that i said unto you from the beginning.
