has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered ?
በሰው ላይ የሚታወስ ነገር ሳይኾን ከዘመናት የተወሰነ ጊዜ በእርግጥ አልፎበታል ፡ ፡

for every message is a limit of time , and soon shall ye know it . "
ለትንቢት ሁሉ ( የሚደርስበት ) መርጊያ አለው ፡ ፡ ወደፊትም ታውቁታላችሁ ፡ ፡

has there been a period of time for man when he was not anything worthy of mention ?
በሰው ላይ የሚታወስ ነገር ሳይኾን ከዘመናት የተወሰነ ጊዜ በእርግጥ አልፎበታል ፡ ፡

by ( the token of ) time ( through the ages ) ,
በጊዜያቱ እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

ይልቁንም የሞትን አደጋ በእርሱ የምንጠባበቅበት የኾነ ባለ ቅኔ ነው ይላሉን ?

« መርከቢቱማ በባሕር ለሚሠሩ ምስኪኖች ነበረች ፡ ፡ ከኋላቸውም መርከብን ሁሉ በቅሚያ የሚይዝ ንጉሥ ነበረና ፤ ( እንዳይቀማቸው ) ላነውራት ፈቀድኩ ፡ ፡

if you want to divorce a woman so that you can marry another , do not take back the dowry which you had paid even if what you paid was a large amount of gold . to do this is a slanderous act and a manifest sin .
በሚስትም ስፍራ ሚስትን ለመለወጥ ብትፈልጉ ለአንደኛይቱ ( ለምትፈታው ) ብዙን ገንዘብ የሰጣችኋት ስትኾኑ ከርሱ ምንንም አትውሰዱ ፡ ፡ በመበደልና ግልጽ በኾነ ኀጢአት ትወስዱታላችሁን

hath there come upon man ( ever ) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered ?
በሰው ላይ የሚታወስ ነገር ሳይኾን ከዘመናት የተወሰነ ጊዜ በእርግጥ አልፎበታል ፡ ፡

had the unjust possessed double the amount of the wealth of the whole earth , they would certainly have liked to offer it on the day of resurrection as redemption from the torment of our scourge when god would make public what they had never expected .
ለእነዚያም ለበደሉት በምድር ያለው ሁሉ መላውም ከእርሱ ጋር መሰሉም ቢኖራቸው ኖሮ በትንሣኤ ቀን ከቅጣቱ ክፋት የተነሳ በእርሱ ነፍሶቻቸውን በተበዡበት ነበር ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ዘንድ ያስቡት ያልነበሩት ሁሉ ይገለጽላቸዋል ፡ ፡

if you divorce your wives before the consummation of the marriage and the amount of dowry has been fixed , pay your wives half of the amount of their dowry unless she or her guardians drop their demand for payment . to drop such a demand is closer to piety .
ለእነርሱም መወሰንን በእርግጥ የወሰናችሁላቸው ስትኾኑ ሳትነኳቸው በፊት ብተፈቷቸው ካልማሩዋችሁ ወይም ያ የጋብቻው ውል በእጁ የኾነው ( ባልየው ) ካልማረ በስተቀር የወሰናችሁት ግማሹ አላቸው ፡ ፡ ምሕረትም ማድረጋችሁ ወደ አላህ ፍራቻ በጣም የቀረበ ነው ፡ ፡ በመካከላችሁም ችሮታን አትርሱ ፤ አላህ የምትሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነውና ፡ ፡

has the moment not yet come when the hearts of believers should be moved by the thought of god and the truth that has been sent down , so that they should not be like those who received the book before them but whose hearts were hardened after a lapse of time , and many of them turned disobedient ?
ለነዚያ ለአመኑት ለአላህ ተግሳጽና ከቁርኣንም ለወረደው ልቦቻቸው ሊፈሩ እንደእነዚያም በፊት መጽሐፍን እንደ ተሰጡትና በእነርሱ ላይ ጊዜ እንደረዘመባቸው ልቦቻቸውም እንደ ደረቁት ላይኾኑ ( ጊዜው ) አልቀረበምን ? ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹ አመጸኞች ናቸው ፡ ፡

allah has made your houses a repose , and has provided you with the skins of the cattle for your habitation which are light to handle both when you travel and when you camp ; and out of their wool and their fur and their hair he has given you furnishings and goods for use over a period of time .
አላህም ከቤቶቻችሁ ለእናንተ መርጊያን አደረገላችሁ ፡ ፡ ከእንስሳዎችም ቆዳዎች በጉዟችሁ ቀን በመቀመጫችሁም ቀን የምታቀልላቸውን ቤቶች ለናንተ አደረገላችሁ ፡ ፡ ከበግዋ ሱፎች ፣ ከግመልዋም ጠጉሮች ፣ ከፍየልዋም ጠጉሮች የቤት ዕቃዎችን እስከ ጊዜም ድረስ መጠቃቀሚያን ( አደረገላችሁ ) ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , they ask you about the different phases of the moon . tell them that they are there to indicate to people the phases of time and the pilgrimage season .
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) ከለጋ ጨረቃዎች ( መለዋወጥ ) ይጠየቁሃል ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ለሰዎች ጥቅም ለሐጅም ( ማወቂያ ) ጊዜያቶች ( ምልክቶች ) ናቸው በላቸው ፡ ፡ መልካም ሥራም ቤቶችን ከጀርባዎቻቸው በመምጣታችሁ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ግን የመልካም ሥራ ባለቤት የተጠነቀቀ ሰው ነው ፡ ፡ ቤቶችንም ከደጃፎቻቸው በኩል ግቡ ፤ አላህንም ፍሩ ልትድኑ ይከጀላልና ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡
