ትፈቅርኛለህ

tell me ! the water that you drink .
ያንንም የምትጠጡትን ውሃ አየችሁን ?

i want you to tell me that
እንደሱ እንድትለኝ ነው ምፈልገው

tell me ! the seed that you sow in the ground .
የምትዘሩትንም አያችሁን ?

then tell me ( about ) the human semen that you emit .
( በማኅፀኖች ) የምታፈሱትን አያችሁን ?

and is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of israel ?
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

and is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the children of israel ? "
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

" and this is the past favour with which you reproach me , that you have enslaved the children of israel . "
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

is this then the blessing with which you reproach me , that you have the children of israel for worshipers '
« ይህችም የእስራኤልን ልጆች ባሪያ በማድረግህ በእኔ ላይ የምትመጻደቅባት ጸጋ ነት ፡ ፡ »

and yet another ( blessing ) that you love : help from allah and a victory near at hand ; and give good news to the believers .
ሌላይቱንም የምትወዷትን ( ጸጋ ይሰጣችኋለ ) ፡ ፡ ከአላህ የኾነ እርዳታና ቅርብ የኾነ የአገር መክፈት ነው ፡ ፡ ምእምናንንም አብስር ፡ ፡

and other things that you love , victory from allah and an opening that is near . ( o prophet muhammad ) give glad tidings to the believers .
ሌላይቱንም የምትወዷትን ( ጸጋ ይሰጣችኋለ ) ፡ ፡ ከአላህ የኾነ እርዳታና ቅርብ የኾነ የአገር መክፈት ነው ፡ ፡ ምእምናንንም አብስር ፡ ፡

and of his signs is that he has created mates for you from your own kind that you may find peace in them and he has set between you love and mercy . surely there are signs in this for those who reflect .
ለእናንተም ከነፍሶቻችሁ ( ከጎሶቻችሁ ) ሚስቶችን ወደእነርሱ ትረኩ ዘንድ መፍጠሩ ፣ በመካከላችሁም ፍቅርንና እዝነትን ማድረጉ ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ነው ፡ ፡ በዚህ ውስጥ ለሚያስተውሉ ሕዝቦች ተዓምራቶች አልሉ ፡ ፡

and one of his signs is that he created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them , and he put between you love and compassion ; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect .
ለእናንተም ከነፍሶቻችሁ ( ከጎሶቻችሁ ) ሚስቶችን ወደእነርሱ ትረኩ ዘንድ መፍጠሩ ፣ በመካከላችሁም ፍቅርንና እዝነትን ማድረጉ ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ነው ፡ ፡ በዚህ ውስጥ ለሚያስተውሉ ሕዝቦች ተዓምራቶች አልሉ ፡ ፡

he said , ' it grieves me that you should go with him , and i fear the wolf may eat him , while you are heedless of him . '
« እኔ እርሱን ( ዩሱፍን ) ይዛችሁ መሌዳችሁ በእርግጥ ያሳዝነኛል ፡ ፡ እናንተም ከእርሱ ዘንጊዎች ስትሆኑ ተኩላ ይበላዋል ብዬ እፈራለሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

and [ you will obtain ] another [ favor ] that you love - victory from allah and an imminent conquest ; and give good tidings to the believers .
ሌላይቱንም የምትወዷትን ( ጸጋ ይሰጣችኋለ ) ፡ ፡ ከአላህ የኾነ እርዳታና ቅርብ የኾነ የአገር መክፈት ነው ፡ ፡ ምእምናንንም አብስር ፡ ፡

i spoke to them of nothing except that which you ordered me , that you worship allah , my lord and our lord . i witnessed them whilst living in their midst and ever since you took me to you , you have been the watcher over them .
« በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ ፡ ፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ ( ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ ፡ ፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »

and that you should worship me [ alone islamic monotheism , and set up not rivals , associate-gods with me ] . that is a straight path .
ተገዙኝም ፤ ይህ ቀጥተኘ መንገድ ነው ፤ ( በማለትም ) ፡ ፡

fighting is enjoined on you , and it is an object of dislike to you ; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you , and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you , and allah knows , while you do not know .
መጋደል እርሱ ለእናንተ የተጠላ ሲሆን በእናንተ ላይ ተጻፈ ፡ ፡ አንዳች ነገርን እርሱ ለናንተ የበለጠ ሲሆን የምትጠሉት መኾናችሁ ተረጋገጠ ፡ ፡ አንዳችንም ነገር እርሱ ለናንተ መጥፎ ሲሆን የምትወዱት መሆናችሁ ተረጋገጠ ፡ ፡ አላህም ( የሚሻላችሁን ) ያውቃል ግን እናንተ አታውቁም ፡ ፡

[ jacob ] said , " indeed , it saddens me that you should take him , and i fear that a wolf would eat him while you are of him unaware . "
« እኔ እርሱን ( ዩሱፍን ) ይዛችሁ መሌዳችሁ በእርግጥ ያሳዝነኛል ፡ ፡ እናንተም ከእርሱ ዘንጊዎች ስትሆኑ ተኩላ ይበላዋል ብዬ እፈራለሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

i only told them what you commanded me : that you shall worship god , my lord and your lord . and i was a witness over them while i was among them ; but when you took me to yourself , you became the watcher over them — you are witness over everything .
« በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም ፡ ፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ ፡ ፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ ( ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ ፡ ፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ ፡ ፡ »
