in this way god seals the hearts of those who do not [ want to ] know [ the truth ] ,
እንደዚሁ አላህ በእነዚያ በማያውቁት ሰዎች ልቦች ላይ ያትማል ፡ ፡

they will want to leave the fire , but they will not leave it . for them is a lasting punishment .
ከእሳት ሊወጡ ይፈልጋሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከርስዋ ወጪዎች አይደሉም ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ዘውታሪ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡

moses replied , " the lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them , if you want to be certain " .
( ሙሳ ) « የሰማያትና የምድር በመካከላቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ጌታ ነው ፡ ፡ የምታረጋግጡ ብትኾኑ ( ነገሩ ይህ ነው ) ፤ » አለው ፡ ፡

it is he who has made the night and the day , one proceeding the other , for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks .
እርሱም ያ ( ያመለጠውን ሥራ ) ማስታወስን ለሚፈልግ ወይም ማመስገንን ለሚፈልግ ሰው ሌሊትንና ቀንን ተተካኪ ያደረገ ነው ፡ ፡

god is the promoter of his servants and the owner of the throne . he sends his spirit by his command to whichever of his servants he wants to warn them of the day of judgment .
( እርሱ ) ደረጃዎችን ከፍ አድራጊ የዐርሹ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡ የመገናኛውን ቀን ያስፈራራ ዘንድ ከባሮቹ በሚሻው ሰው ላይ ከትዕዛዙ መንፈስን ( ራእይን ) ያወርዳል ፡ ፡

give the relatives , the destitute , and the needy travellers their share ( of charity ) . it is better for those who want to please god and they will have everlasting happiness .
የዝምድናን ባለቤት ተገቢውን ስጠው ፡ ፡ ለድኻም ለመንገደኛም ( እርዳ ) ፡ ፡ ይህ ለእነዚያ የአላህን ፊት ( ውዴታውን ) ለሚሹ መልካም ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያም እነርሱ የፈለጉትን የሚያገኙ ናቸው ፡ ፡

( moses ) said : " the lord and cherisher of the heavens and the earth , and all between , - if ye want to be quite sure . "
( ሙሳ ) « የሰማያትና የምድር በመካከላቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ጌታ ነው ፡ ፡ የምታረጋግጡ ብትኾኑ ( ነገሩ ይህ ነው ) ፤ » አለው ፡ ፡

and the answer of his people was only that they said : " drive them out of your town , these are indeed men who want to be pure ( from sins ) ! "
የሕዝቦቹም መልስ « ( ሎጥንና ተከታዮቹን ) ከከተማችሁ አውጧቸው ፡ ፡ እነሱ የሚጥራሩ ሰዎች ናቸውና » ማለት እንጂ ሌላ አልነበረም ፡ ፡

( some evidence of his existence ) are the night , day , sun , and moon . do not prostrate before the sun and the moon , but prostrate before god who has created them if you want to worship him alone .
ሌሊትና ቀንም ፀሐይና ጨረቃም ከምልክቶቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለፀሐይና ለጨረቃ አትስገዱ ፡ ፡ ለእዚያም ለፈጠራቸው አላህ ስገዱ ፡ ፡ እርሱን ብቻ የምትግገዙ እንደ ኾናችሁ ( ለሌላ አትስገዱ ) ፡ ፡

it is he who created the sun radiating and the moon shining and appointed positions for it , for you to know the number of the years , and the account ; allah has not created it except with the truth ; he explains the verses in detail for the people of knowledge .
እርሱ ያ ፀሐይን አንጻባራቂ ጨረቃንም አብሪ ያደረገ ነው ፡ ፡ የዓመታትን ቁጥርና ሒሳብን ታውቁ ዘንድም ለእርሱ መስፈሪያዎችን የለካ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ይህንን በእውነት እንጂ ( በከንቱ ) አልፈጠረውም ፡ ፡ ለሚያውቁ ሕዝቦች አንቀጾችን ያብራራል ፡ ፡

and those before them did indeed make plans , but all planning is allah 's ; he knows what every soul earns , and the unbelievers shall come to know for whom is the ( better ) issue of the abode .
እነዚያም ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ መከሩ ፡ ፡ አዘንግቶም የመያዙ ዘዴ በሙሉ የአላህ ነው ፡ ፡ ነፍስ ሁሉ የምትሠራውን ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ከሓዲዎችም የመጨረሻይቱ አገር ለማን እንደምትኾን ወደፊት ያውቃሉ ፡ ፡

the prophet has a higher claim on the believers than [ they have on ] their own selves , and his wives are their mothers . blood relatives are closer to one another in god 's book than are believers and the emigrants except that you want to show your friends a kindness .
ነቢዩ በምእምናን ከነፍሶቻቸው ይበልጥ ተገቢ ነው ፡ ፡ ሚስቶቹም እናቶቻቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ የዝምድና ባለቤቶችም ከፊላቸው በከፊሉ ( ውርስ ) በአላህ መጽሐፍ ውስጥ ከምእምናንና ከስደተኞቹ ይልቅ የተገባቸው ናቸው ፡ ፡ ግን ወደ ወዳጆቻችሁ ( በኑዛዜ ) መልካምን ብትሰሩ ( ይፈቀዳል ) ፡ ፡ ይህ በመጽሐፉ ውሰጥ የተመዘገበ ነው ፡ ፡

allah's statement, وَأُحْضِرَتِ الأنفُسُ الشُّحَّ ( and human souls are swayed by greed. ) means, coming to peaceful terms, even when it involves forfeiting some rights, is better than parting. abu dawud at-tayalisi recorded that ibn `abbas said, "sawdah feared that the messenger of allah ﷺ might divorce her and she said, `o messenger of allah! do not divorce me; give my day to `a'ishah.' and he did, and later on allah sent down, وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَـفَتْ مِن بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزاً أَوْ إِعْرَاضاً فَلاَ جُنَاْحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ ( and if a woman fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no sin on them both ) ibn `abbas said, "whatever ( legal agreement ) the spouses mutually agree to is allowed.". at-tirmidhi recorded it and said, "hasan gharib". in the two sahihs, it is recorded that `a'ishah said that when sawdah bint zam`ah became old, she forfeited her day to `a'ishah, and the prophet used to spend sawdah's night with `a'ishah. there is a similar narration also collected by al-bukhari. al-bukhari also recorded that `a'ishah commented; وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَـفَتْ مِن بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزاً أَوْ إِعْرَاضاً ( and if a woman fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part ), that it refers to, "a man who is married to an old woman, and he does not desire her and wants to divorce her. so she says, `i forfeit my right on you.' so this ayah was revealed." meaning of "making peace is better allah said, وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ ( and making peace is better ). `ali bin abi talhah related that ibn `abbas said that the ayah refers to, "when the husband gives his wife the choice between staying with him or leaving him, as this is better than the husband preferring other wives to her." however, the apparent wording of the ayah refers to the settlement where the wife forfeits some of the rights she has over her husband, with the husband agreeing to this concession, and that this settlement is better than divorce. for instance, the prophet kept sawdah bint zam`ah as his wife after she offered to forfeit her day for `a'ishah. by keeping her among his wives, his ummah may follow this kind of settlement
የሶዳውን ሌሊት ከ'አኢሻ ጋር ለማሳለፍ የለመድኩትን ቀን ይስጥልኝ። ተመሳሳይ ትረካም ይሰበስባል
