well-pleased because of their striving ,
ለሥራቸው ተደሳቾች ናቸው ፡ ፡

it is only because of their false invention that they say ,
ንቁ ! እነርሱ ከቅጥፈታቸው ( የተነሳ ) ይላሉ ፡ -

and the word has appeared upon them because of their injustice , so now they do not speak .
በመበደላቸውም በእነርሱ ላይ ቃሉ ይፈጸምባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አይናገሩም ፡ ፡

they will become subject to punishment because of their injustice . thus , they will not speak .
በመበደላቸውም በእነርሱ ላይ ቃሉ ይፈጸምባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አይናገሩም ፡ ፡

and because of their transgressions they were drowned , and admitted into a fire , for they found not , apart from god , any to help them .
በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ ፡ ፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም ፡ ፡

and he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
በአለማመናቸውም ምክንያት በዚያ ብዙ ተአምራት አላደረገም።

chastisement will befall those who reject our signs because of their disobedience .
እነዚያም ባንቀጾቻችን ያስዋሹ ያምጹ በነበሩት ምክንያት ቅጣቱ ያገኛቸዋል ፡ ፡

because of their sins , they were drowned and made to enter hell . they could find no one to help them besides god .
በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ ፡ ፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም ፡ ፡

because of their sins they were drowned , then were made to enter the fire , and they found none to help them instead of allah .
በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ ፡ ፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም ፡ ፡

and because of their disbelief and of their speaking against mary a tremendous calumny ;
በመካዳቸውም በመርየም ላይ ከባድ ቅጥፈትን በመናገራቸውም ምክንያት ( ረገምናቸው ) ፡ ፡

because of their sins they were drowned , then made to enter a fire . and they found they had no helpers in place of allah .
በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ ፡ ፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም ፡ ፡

and allah delivereth those who ward off ( evil ) because of their deserts . evil toucheth them not , nor do they grieve .
እነዚያንም የተጠነቀቁትን በማግኛቸው ስፍራ ኾነው አላህ ያድናቸዋል ፡ ፡ ክፉ ነገር አይነካቸውም ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አያዝኑም ፡ ፡

and the word will come to pass against them because of their wrong-doing : they will then be able to utter nothing .
በመበደላቸውም በእነርሱ ላይ ቃሉ ይፈጸምባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም አይናገሩም ፡ ፡

and because of their misdeeds they were drowned , and then they were made to enter a fire . then they found not for themselves , beside allah , any helpers .
በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ ፡ ፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም ፡ ፡

and their hearts became filled with the love of the calf because of their disbelief . say , “ wretched is what your faith commands you to do , if you are believers . ”
የጡርንም ጋራ ከበላያችሁ ያነሳን ስንኾን ( በኦሪት ሕግ እንድትሠሩ ) ኪዳናችሁን በያዝን ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ « የሰጠናችሁን በኀይል ያዙ ፤ ስሙም ፤ » ( አልን ) ፡ ፡ « ሰማን አመጽንም » አሉ ፡ ፡ የወይፈኑንም ውዴታ በክሕደታቸው ምክንያት በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ ተጠጡ ፡ ፡ « አማኞች እንደኾናችሁ እምነታችሁ በርሱ የሚያዛችሁ ነገር ከፋ ! » በላቸው ፡ ፡

a messenger from their own people came to them and they called him a liar . torment struck them because of their injustice .
ከእነርሱ ውስጥ የኾነ መልክተኛም በእርግጥ መጣላቸው ፡ ፡ አስተባበሉትም ፡ ፡ እነሱም በዳዮች ኾነው ቅጣቱ ያዛቸው ፡ ፡

each sabbath the fish came openly within their reach but not so on other days . thus , we were testing them because of their evil deeds .
ከዚያችም በባህሩ ዳርቻ ከነበረችው ከተማ በቅዳሜ ( ቀን ) ወሰን ባለፉ ጊዜ በሰንበታቸው ቀን ዐሳዎቻቸው የተከማቹ ኾነው በሚመጡላቸው ጊዜ ( የኾነውን ) ጠይቃቸው ፡ ፡ ሰንበትንም በማያከብሩበት ( በሌላው ) ቀን አይመጡላቸውም ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ያምጹበት በነበሩት ምክንያት እንሞክራቸዋለን ፡ ፡

because of their belief that the fire will only touch them for a few days . this fabricated belief has deceived them in matters of their religion .
ይኸ እነርሱ « እሳት የተቆጠሩ ቀኖችን እንጅ አትነካንም » በማለታቸው ነው ፡ ፡ በሃይማኖታቸውም ይቀጣጥፉት የነበሩት ነገር አታለላቸው ፡ ፡

and do thou be patient , for thy patience is but from allah ; nor grieve over them : and distress not thyself because of their plots .
ታገስም ፤ መታገስህም በአላህ ( ማስቻል ) እንጂ አይደለም ፡ ፡ በእነርሱም ላይ ( ባያምኑ ) አትተክዝ ፡ ፡ ( ባንተ ላይ ) ከሚመክሩትም ተንኮል በጭንቀት ውስጥ አትኹን ፡ ፡

because of their ingratitude for what we have given them . let them enjoy themselves , but they will soon know ( the consequences of their deeds ) .
በሰጠናቸው ጸጋ ሊክዱ ( ያጋራሉ ) ፡ ፡ ተጣቀሙም ፤ በእርግጥም ( መጨረሻችሁን ) ወደፊት ታውቃላችሁ ፡ ፡
