« በክፉም አትንኳት ፡ ፡ የታላቅ ቀን ቅጣት ይይዛችኋልና ፡ ፡ »

then wait you for the day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke .
ሰማይም በግልጽ ጭስ የምትመጣበትን ቀን ተጠባበቅ ፡ ፡

has there come on man a while of time when he was a thing unremembered ?
በሰው ላይ የሚታወስ ነገር ሳይኾን ከዘመናት የተወሰነ ጊዜ በእርግጥ አልፎበታል ፡ ፡

for as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
በምድር ሁሉ ላይ በሚቀመጡ ሁሉ እንደ ወጥመድ ይደርስባቸዋልና።

my people , do what you will and so shall i. you will certainly come to know who will receive a punishment to disgrace him , and who is a liar . wait on ; i shall wait on with you . "
« ሕዝቦቼም ሆይ ! በችሎታችሁ ልክ ሥሩ ፡ ፡ እኔ ሠሪ ነኝና ፡ ፡ የሚያዋርደው ቅጣት የሚመጣበትና እርሱ ውሸታም የሆነው ማን እንደኾነ ወደ ፊት ታውቃላችሁ ፡ ፡ ጠብቁም እኔ ከናንተ ጋር ተጠባባቂ ነኝና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

if they come on you , they will be enemies to you , and stretch against you their hands and their tongues , to do you evil , and they wish that you may disbelieve .
ቢያሸንፏችሁ ለእናንተ ጠላቶች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡ እጆቻቸውንና ምላሶቻቸውንም ወደእናንተ በክፉ ይዘረጋሉ ፡ ፡ ብትክዱም ተመኙ ፡ ፡

do they only wait for the hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden , while they perceive not ?
ሰዓቲቱን እነርሱ የማያውቁ ኾነው በድንገት ልትመጣባቸው እንጅ ይጠባበቃሉን ?

that the blessing of abraham might come on the gentiles through jesus christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.
የመንፈስን ተስፋ በእምነት እንድንቀበል፥ የአብርሃም በረከት ወደ አሕዛብ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ይደርስላቸው ዘንድ።

she locked the doors and said to him , " come on . " he said , " i seek refuge in god who has given me a good place of shelter .
ያቺም እርሱ በቤቷ የነበረባት ሴት ከነፍሱ አባበለችው ፡ ፡ ደጃፎቹንም ዘጋች ፤ « ላንተ ተዘጋጅቼልሃለሁና ቶሎ ናም » አለችው ፡ ፡ « በአላህ እጠበቃለሁ እርሱ ( የገዛኝ ) ጌታዬ ኑሮዬን ያሳመረልኝ ነውና ፤ ( አልከዳውም ) ፡ ፡ እነሆ ! በደለኞች አይድኑም » አላት ፡ ፡

nay , it shall come on them all of a sudden and cause them to become confounded , so they shall not have the power to avert it , nor shall they be respited .
ይልቁንም ( ሰዓቲቱ ) በድንገት ትመጣቸዋለች ፤ ታዋልላቸዋለችም ፡ ፡ መመለሷንም አይችሉም ፡ ፡ እነሱም አይቆዩም ፡ ፡

are they who plan ill-deeds then secure that allah will not cause the earth to swallow them , or that the doom will not come on them whence they know not ?
እነዚያ መጥፎዎችን የዶለቱ አላህ በእነሱ ምድርን የሚገለብጥባቸው ወይም ከማያውቁት ስፍራ ቅጣት የሚመጣባቸው መኾኑን አይፈሩምን

say , “ everybody is waiting , so wait . you will know who the people of the straight path are , and who is rightly-guided .
« ሁሉም ተጠባባቂ ነው ፡ ፡ ተጠባበቁም ፡ ፡ የቀጥታውም መንገድ ባለቤቶች እነማን እንደሆኑ እነማንም እንደ ተመሩ ወደ ፊት ታውቃላችሁ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

and those who disbelieve shall not cease to be in doubt concerning it until the hour overtakes them suddenly , or there comes on them the chastisement of a destructive day .
እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ሰዓቲቱ በድንገት እስከምትመጣባቸው ወይም ( ከደግ ነገር ) መካን የሆነው ቀን ቅጣት እስከሚመጣባቸው ድረስ ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

and the unbelievers will not cease to be in doubt of it , until the hour comes on them suddenly , or there shall come upon them the chastisement of a barren day .
እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ሰዓቲቱ በድንገት እስከምትመጣባቸው ወይም ( ከደግ ነገር ) መካን የሆነው ቀን ቅጣት እስከሚመጣባቸው ድረስ ከእርሱ ( ከቁርኣን ) በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ከመሆን አይወገዱም ፡ ፡

" and follow the best of ( the courses ) revealed to you from your lord , before the penalty comes on you - of a sudden while ye perceive not ! -
« እናንተ የማታውቁ ስትኾኑም ቅጣቱ በድንገት ሳይመጣባችሁ በፊት ከጌታችሁ ወደናንተ የተወረደውን መልካሙን ( መጽሐፍ ) ተከተሉ ፡ ፡ »
