and you devour ( others ' ) inheritance greedily ,
የውርስንም ገንዘብ የመሰብሰብን አበላል ትበላላችሁ ፡ ፡

but if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
ነገር ግን እርስ በርሳችሁ ብትነካከሱ ብትበላሉ እርስ በርሳችሁ እንዳትጠፋፉ ተጠንቀቁ።

believers , do not devour usury multiplied many times over . fear god , so that you may prosper ,
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አራጣን የተነባበሩ እጥፎች ሲኾኑ አትብሉ ፡ ፡ ትድኑም ዘንድ አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

you see many of them race with one another in sin and transgression and devour the unlawful . evil is what they do .
ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹን በኃጢአትና በበደል እርምንም በመብላታቸው የሚጣደፉ ሲኾኑ ታያለህ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ !

o believers , devour not usury , doubled and redoubled , and fear you god ; haply so you will prosper .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አራጣን የተነባበሩ እጥፎች ሲኾኑ አትብሉ ፡ ፡ ትድኑም ዘንድ አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and you will see many of them rushing towards sin and oppression , and to devour the forbidden ; undoubtedly what they do is extremely evil .
ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹን በኃጢአትና በበደል እርምንም በመብላታቸው የሚጣደፉ ሲኾኑ ታያለህ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ !

o people who believe ! do not devour usury doubling and quadrupling it ; and fear allah , hoping that you achieve success .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አራጣን የተነባበሩ እጥፎች ሲኾኑ አትብሉ ፡ ፡ ትድኑም ዘንድ አላህን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and eat not up your property among yourselves in vanity , nor seek by it to gain the hearing of the judges that ye may knowingly devour a portion of the property of others wrongfully .
ገንዘቦቻችሁንም በመካከላችሁ በከንቱ ( ያለ አግባብ ) አትብሉ ፡ ፡ እናንተም የምታውቁ ስትኾኑ ከሰዎች ገንዘቦች ከፊልን በኃጢኣት ትበሉ ዘንድ ወደ ዳኞች አትጣሏት ፡ ፡

he said : lo ! in truth it saddens me that ye should take him with you , and i fear less the wolf devour him while ye are heedless of him .
« እኔ እርሱን ( ዩሱፍን ) ይዛችሁ መሌዳችሁ በእርግጥ ያሳዝነኛል ፡ ፡ እናንተም ከእርሱ ዘንጊዎች ስትሆኑ ተኩላ ይበላዋል ብዬ እፈራለሁ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

and devour not your riches among yourselves in vanity , nor convey them unto the judges that ye may devour thereby a portion of other people 's riches sinfully while ye know .
ገንዘቦቻችሁንም በመካከላችሁ በከንቱ ( ያለ አግባብ ) አትብሉ ፡ ፡ እናንተም የምታውቁ ስትኾኑ ከሰዎች ገንዘቦች ከፊልን በኃጢኣት ትበሉ ዘንድ ወደ ዳኞች አትጣሏት ፡ ፡

and give unto the orphans their substance , and substitute not the bad for the good ; and devour not their substance by adding it to your substance ; verily that is a great crime .
የቲሞችንም ገንዘቦቻቸውን ስጡ ፡ ፡ መጥፎውንም በመልካሙ አትለውጡ ፡ ፡ ገንዘቦቻቸውንም ወደ ገንዘቦቻችሁ ( በመቀላቀል ) አትብሉ እርሱ ታላቅ ኃጢአት ነውና ፡ ፡

and cast down what is in your right hand ; it shall devour what they have wrought ; they have wrought only the plan of a magician , and the magician shall not be successful wheresoever he may come from .
« በቀኝ እጅህ ያለቸውንም በትር ጣል ፡ ፡ ያንን የሠሩትን ትውጣለችና ፡ ፡ ያ የሠሩት ሁሉ የድግምተኛ ተንኮል ነውና ፡ ፡ ድግምተኛም በመጣበት ስፍራ ሁሉ አይቀናውም » ( አልን ) ፡ ፡

and because they used to take usury whereas they were forbidden from it , and they used to wrongfully devour people ’ s wealth ; and for the disbelievers among them , we have kept prepared a painful punishment .
ከእርሱ በቁርጥ የተከለከሉ ሲኾኑ አራጣንም በመያዛቸውና የሰዎችን ገንዘቦች ያለ አግባብ ( በጉቦ ) በመብላታቸውም ምክንያት ( የተፈቀደላቸውን እርም አደረግንባቸው ) ፡ ፡ ከእነሱም ለከሓዲዎቹ አሳማሚን ቅጣት አዘጋጀን ፡ ፡

" o joseph ! " ( he said ) " o man of truth ! expound to us ( the dream ) of seven fat kine whom seven lean ones devour , and of seven green ears of corn and ( seven ) others withered : that i may return to the people , and that they may understand . "
« አንተ እውነተኛው ዩሱፍ ሆይ ! ሰባትን የሰቡ ላሞች ሰባት ከሲታዎች ላሞች ሲበሉዋቸው ሰባትን ለምለም ዘለላዎችም ሌሎችንም ደረቆች ( በነሱ ላይ ሲጠመጠሙባቸው ያየን ሰው ሕልም ፍች ) ተችልን ፡ ፡ ያውቁ ዘንድ ወደ ሰዎቹ ልመለስ እከጅላለሁና » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡
