but john forbad him, saying, i have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
ዮሐንስ ግን። እኔ በአንተ ልጠመቅ ያስፈልገኛል አንተም ወደ እኔ ትመጣለህን? ብሎ ይከለክለው ነበር።

noah said : " what knowledge do i have about their deeds ?
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

and the disbeliever says , " when i have died , am i going to be brought forth alive ? "
ሰውም « በሞትኩ ጊዜ ወደፊት ሕያው ኾኜ ( ከመቃብር ) እወጣለሁን » ይላል ፡ ፡

not that i speak in respect of want: for i have learned, in whatsoever state i am, therewith to be content.
ይህን ስል ስለ ጉድለት አልልም፤ የምኖርበት ኑሮ ይበቃኛል ማለትን ተምሬአለሁና።

if you turn away , i have delivered to you that with which i was sent , and my lord will cause people other than you to be your successors . you cannot harm him a thing .
« ብትዞሩም በእርሱ ወደእናንተ የተላክሁበትን ነገር በእርግጥ አድርሼላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ከእናንተ ሌላ ሕዝብም ይተካል ምንም አትጎዱትምም ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነውና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

if then ye turn away , i have asked of you no hire , my hire is only with allah , and i am commanded to be of those who submit .
« ብትሸሹም ( አትጎዱኝም ) ፡ ፡ ከምንዳ ምንንም አልለምናችሁምና ፡ ፡ ምንዳዬ በአላህ ላይ እንጂ በሌላ ላይ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ከሙስሊሞች እንድሆንም ታዝዣለሁ ፡ ፡ »

he said , “ did you believe in him before i have given you permission ? he must be your chief , who taught you magic .
( ፈርዖንም ) « ለእናንተ ሳልፈቅድላችሁ በፊት ለእርሱ አመናችሁን እርሱ ያ ድግምትን ያስተማራችሁ ታላቃችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወደፊትም ( የሚያገኛችሁን ) በእርግጥ ታውቃላችሁ ፡ ፡ እጆቻችሁንና እግሮቻችሁን ( ቀኝና ግራን ) በማናጋት እቆረርጣለሁ ፡ ፡ ሁላችሁንም እሰቅላችኋለሁም » አለ ፡ ፡

i have only been commanded to serve the lord of this territory which he has made sacred ; to him belongs everything . and i have been commanded to be of those that surrender ,
የታዘዝኩት የዚህችን አገር ጌታ ያንን ክልል ያደረጋትን እንድግገዛ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ ነገሩንም ሁሉ የእርሱ ነው ፡ ፡ ከሙስሊሞችም እንድኾን ታዝዣለሁ ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

if you turn away from me ( remember ) i do not ask any recompense from you . my reward is with god ; i have been commanded to be one of those who submit to him . "
« ብትሸሹም ( አትጎዱኝም ) ፡ ፡ ከምንዳ ምንንም አልለምናችሁምና ፡ ፡ ምንዳዬ በአላህ ላይ እንጂ በሌላ ላይ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ከሙስሊሞች እንድሆንም ታዝዣለሁ ፡ ፡ »

" wherein they shall dwell ( forever ) . no desire will they have to be removed therefrom . "
በእርሷ ውስጥ ዘውታሪዎች ከእርሷ መዛወርን የማይፈልጉ ሲኾኑ ፤ ( መስፈሪያቸው ነው ) ፡ ፡

" and leave those whom allah has created for you to be your wives ? nay , you are a trespassing people ! "
« ከሚስቶቻችሁም ጌታችሁ ለናንተ የፈጠረላችሁን ትተዋላችሁን በእውነቱ እናንተ ወሰን አላፊዎች ሕዝቦ ናችሁ ፡ ፡ »

polly, do you take nick to be your husband? do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect him, forsaking all others, and holding only unto him forevermore?
ፖሊ ፣ ኒክን ባልሽ አድርገህ ትወስደዋለህ? እርሱን ለመውደድ፣ ለማክበር፣ ከፍ አድርጋችሁ ለመመልከት፣ እና ለመጠበቅ፣ ሌሎችን ሁሉ ትታችሁ ለዘላለም እርሱን ብቻ ለመያዝ ቃል ትገባላችሁን?

i say not that i have the treasures of god , or that i possess the knowledge of the unknown . i do not claim to be an angel , nor can i say that god will not bestow any good on those you disdain , for god is cognisant of what is in their hearts .
« ለእናንተም እኔ ዘንድ የአላህ ግምጃ ቤቶች አልሉ ሩቅንም ዐውቃለሁ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ እኔም መልአክ ነኝ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ ለእነዚያም ዓይኖቻችሁ ለሚያዋርዷቸው አላህ ደግ ነገርን ( እምነትን ) አይሰጣቸውም አልልም ፡ ፡ አላህ በነፍሶቻቸው ውስጥ ያለውን ነገር አዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እኔ ያን ጊዜ ከበደለኞች እሆናለሁና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

if the hypocrites , those whose hearts are sick and those who encourage the spread of evil in the city , will not desist , we shall arouse you against them and they will only be allowed to be your neighbors for a short while .
መናፍቃንና እነዚያ በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ ( የአመንዝራነት ) በሽታ ያለባቸው በመዲናም ውሰጥ ( በወሬ ) አሸባሪዎቹ ( ከዚህ ሥራቸው ) ባይከለከሉ በእነርሱ ላይ በእርግጥ እንቀሰቅስሃለን ፡ ፡ ከዚያም በእርሷ ውስጥ ጥቂትን እንጂ አይጎራበቱህም ፡ ፡
