እነዚያ ከምእምናን ሌላ ከሓዲዎችን ወዳጆች አድርገው የሚይዙ እነሱ ዘንድ ልቅናን ይፈልጋሉን ልቅናውም ሁሉ ለአላህ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡

and spread mischief in the land rather than set things right . "
« የእነዚያን በምድር ላይ የሚያጠፉትንና የማያበጁትን ፡ ፡ »

would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks ?
ሲሳያችሁንም ( ዝናምን ) እናንተ የምታስተባብሉት ታደርጋላችሁን ?

rather than call upon him , they call upon goddesses , and call upon a rebellious satan
ከእርሱ ሌላ እንስታትን እንጅ አይገዙም ፡ ፡ አመጸኛ ሰይጣንንም እንጅ ሌላን አይግገዙም ፡ ፡

you lust after men rather than women ! you transgress all bounds ! "
« እናንተ ከሴቶች ሌላ ወንዶችን በመከጀል በእርግጥ ትመጡባቸዋላችሁ ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ እናንተ ወሰንን አላፊዎች ሕዝቦች ናችሁ ፡ ፡ »

“ you lust after men rather than women . you are an excessive people . ”
« እናንተ ከሴቶች ሌላ ወንዶችን በመከጀል በእርግጥ ትመጡባቸዋላችሁ ፡ ፡ በእውነቱ እናንተ ወሰንን አላፊዎች ሕዝቦች ናችሁ ፡ ፡ »

then peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey god rather than men.
ጴጥሮስና ሐዋርያትም መልሰው አሉ። ከሰው ይልቅ ለእግዚአብሔር ልንታዘዝ ይገባል።

do not befriend disbelievers rather than believers . do you want to give god a clear case against you ?
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ከምእምናን ሌላ ከሓዲዎችን ወዳጆች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙ ፤ ለአላህ በናንተ ላይ ግልጽ ማስረጃዎችን ልታደርጉ ትፈልጋላችሁን

some he has guided , and some have deserved misguidance . they have adopted the devils for patrons rather than god , and they assume that they are guided .
ከፊሉን ወደ ቅን መንገድ መራ ፡ ፡ ከፊሎቹም በእነሱ ላይ ጥመት ተረጋግጦባቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ሰይጣናትን ከአላህ ሌላ ረዳቶች አድርገው ይዘዋልና ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ( ቅኑን መንገድ ) የተመራን ነን ብለው ያስባሉ ፡ ፡

believers , do not take your fathers or your brothers for a guide if they love disbelief rather than belief . whosoever of you takes them for guides are the harmdoers .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! አባቶቻችሁና ወንድሞቻችሁ ክህደትን ከእምነት አብልጠው ቢወዱ ወዳጆች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙዋቸው ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ ወዳጅ የሚያደርጋቸው እነዚያ እነሱ በዳዮች ናቸው ፤

that is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the hereafter , and because allah guideth not the disbelieving folk .
ይህ ( ቅጣት ) እነሱ ቅርቢቱን ሕይወት ከመጨረሻይቱ በመምረጣቸው ምክንያትና አላህም ከሓዲዎችን ሕዝቦች የማያቀና በመኾኑ ነው ፡ ፡

what ! do you indeed approach men lustfully rather than women ? nay , you are a people who act ignorantly .
« እናንተ ከሴቶች አልፋችሁ ወንዶችን ለመከጀል ትመጣላችሁን በእውነቱ እናንተ የምትሳሳቱ ሕዝቦች ናቸሁ ፡ ፡ »

as for thamud , we bestowed guidance upon them , but they preferred to remain blind rather than be guided . at last a humiliating scourge overtook them on account of their misdeeds .
ሰሙዶችማ መራናቸው ዕውርነትንም በቅንነት ላይ መረጡ ፡ ፡ ይሠሩትም በነበሩት ኃጢኣት አሳናሽ የኾነችው የመብረቅ ቅጣት ያዘቻቸው ፡ ፡

" do you approach men in your lusts rather than women ? nay , but you are a people who behave senselessly . "
« እናንተ ከሴቶች አልፋችሁ ወንዶችን ለመከጀል ትመጣላችሁን በእውነቱ እናንተ የምትሳሳቱ ሕዝቦች ናቸሁ ፡ ፡ »

believers , do not make unbelievers your intimate friends and supporters rather than believers . do you want to establish clear evidence against yourselves before god ?
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ከምእምናን ሌላ ከሓዲዎችን ወዳጆች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙ ፤ ለአላህ በናንተ ላይ ግልጽ ማስረጃዎችን ልታደርጉ ትፈልጋላችሁን

would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women ? nay , ye are a people ( grossly ) ignorant !
« እናንተ ከሴቶች አልፋችሁ ወንዶችን ለመከጀል ትመጣላችሁን በእውነቱ እናንተ የምትሳሳቱ ሕዝቦች ናቸሁ ፡ ፡ »

do not devour one another 's possessions wrongfully ; rather than that , let there be trading by mutual consent . you shall not kill yourselves .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ገንዘቦቻችሁን በመካከላችሁ ያለ አግባብ አትብሉ ፡ ፡ ግን ከእናንተ በመዋደድ የኾነችውን ንግድ ( ብሉ ) ፡ ፡ ነፍሶቻችሁንም አትግደሉ ፡ ፡ አላህ ለእናንተ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡
