መልካም እንደምትሰራ ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ

" or do you good or harm ? "
« ወይስ ይጠቅሟችኋልን ወይስ ይጎዷችኋልን »

i hope you die a very painful death.
በጣም የሚያሠቃይ ሞት እንደምትሞት ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ።

( o prophet ) , we have surely bestowed upon you good in abundance .
እኛ በጣም ብዙ በጎ ነገሮችን ሰጠንህ ፡ ፡

they said : we give you good news with truth , therefore be not of the despairing .
« በእውነት አበሰርንህ ፡ ፡ ከተሰፋ ቆራጮችም አትኹን » አሉ ፡ ፡

they said , “ we bring you good news in truth , so do not despair . ”
« በእውነት አበሰርንህ ፡ ፡ ከተሰፋ ቆራጮችም አትኹን » አሉ ፡ ፡

they said , ‘ we bring you good news in truth ; so do not be despondent . ’
« በእውነት አበሰርንህ ፡ ፡ ከተሰፋ ቆራጮችም አትኹን » አሉ ፡ ፡

i preach unto you the messages of my lord and i councel you good , and i know from allah which ye know not .
« የጌታዬን መልክቶች አደርስላችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም እመክራችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ከአላህም በኩል የማታውቁትን ዐውቃለሁ ፡ ፡ »

he created the heavens and the earth in truth and he shaped you and gave you good shapes . to him is the arrival .
ሰማያትንና ምድርን በእውነት ፈጠረ ፡ ፡ ቀረጻችሁም ቅርጻችሁንም አሳመረ ፡ ፡ መመለሻችሁም ወደእርሱ ነው ፡ ፡

[ it teaches ] that you should worship none but god . i am sent to you from him to warn you and to give you good tidings .
( እንዲህ በላቸው ) ፡ - « አላህን እንጂ ሌላን አትገዙ ፡ ፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከርሱ ( የተላክሁ ) አስፈራሪና አብሳሪ ነኝ ፡ ፡ »

[ the angels ] said , " fear not . indeed , we give you good tidings of a learned boy . "
« አትፍራ ፤ እኛ ዐዋቂ በኾነ ወንድ ልጅ እናበስርሃለን » አሉት ፡ ፡

" zachariah , we bring you good news of a son whose name shall be john . we have not given such a name to anyone before . "
« ዘከሪያ ሆይ ! እኛ በወንድ ልጅ ስሙ የሕያ በኾነ ከዚህ በፊት ሞክሼን ባላደረግንለት እናበስርሃለን » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡

if i want to give you good advice that will not profit you if allah himself has decided to let you go astray . he is your lord , and to him will you be returned . '
« ለእናንተም ልመክራችሁ ብሻ አላህ ሊያጠማችሁ ሽቶ እንደ ኾነ ምክሬ አይጠቅማችሁም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ጌታችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወደ እርሱም ትመለሳላችሁ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and if i intend to give you good advice , my advice will not profit you if allah intended that he should leave you to go astray ; he is your lord , and to him shall you be returned .
« ለእናንተም ልመክራችሁ ብሻ አላህ ሊያጠማችሁ ሽቶ እንደ ኾነ ምክሬ አይጠቅማችሁም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ጌታችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ወደ እርሱም ትመለሳላችሁ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

remember , when you were few and powerless in the land , afraid of despoliation at the hands of men . but then god sheltered and helped you to strength , and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful .
እናንተም በምድር ላይ የተናቃችሁ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳላችሁ ሰዎች ሊነጥቁዋችሁ የምትፈሩ ስትኾኑ ያስጠጋችሁን በእርዳታውም ያበረታችሁን ከመልካሞች ሲሳዮችም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ የሰጣችሁን አስታውሱ ፡ ፡

and if allah should touch you with adversity , there is no remover of it except him ; and if he intends for you good , then there is no repeller of his bounty . he causes it to reach whom he wills of his servants .
አላህም ጉዳትን ቢያደርስብህ ከእርሱ ሌላ ለእርሱ ገላጭ የለውም ፡ ፡ በጎንም ነገር ቢሻልህ ለችሮታው መላሽ የለም ፡ ፡ ከባሮቹ የሚሻውን በእርሱ ይለይበታል ፡ ፡ እርሱም መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡
