ሰጋጆቹ ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡

but not harmful or intoxicating .
በእርሷ ውስጥም ምታት የለባትም ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከእርሷ የሚሰክሩ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

but not so the true servants of god ,
ግን የተመረጡት የአላህ ባሮች ( በአላህ ላይ አይዋሹም ) ፡ ፡

but not the chosen servants of allah .
ምርጥ የሆኑት የአላህ ባሮች ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡

but not the servants of allah , the purified ones .
ንጹሕ የተደረጉት የአላህ ባሮች ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡

anyone can be an mp, but not everyone is educated.
ማንም የፓርላማ አባል መሆን ይችላል፣ ሁሉም ግን የተማረ አይደለም፡፡

but not such of them as are thy bondmen single-hearted .
« ከነርሱ ፍጹሞቹ ባሮችህ ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡ »

but not a prophet came to them , without they mocked at him ;
ከነቢይም አንድም የሚመጣላቸው አልነበረም በእርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩ ቢኾኑ እንጅ ፡ ፡

but not iblis : he refused to be among those who prostrated .
ኢብሊስ ( ዲያብሎስ ) ብቻ ሲቀር ፡ ፡ ከሰጋጆቹ ጋር ከመኾን እንቢ አለ ፡ ፡

but not iblis ; he acted arrogantly and he was one of the faithless .
ኢብሊስ ብቻ ሲቀር ፡ ፡ ኮራ ፤ ከከሓዲዎቹም ነበር ፡ ፡

but not his wife ; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind .
« ሚስቱ ብቻ ስትቀር ፡ ፡ እርሷን ( በቅጣቱ ውስጥ ) ከሚቀሩት መኾኗን ወሰነናል » ( አሉ ) ፡ ፡

but not satan , who was too proud . he became one of those who deny the truth .
ኢብሊስ ብቻ ሲቀር ፡ ፡ ኮራ ፤ ከከሓዲዎቹም ነበር ፡ ፡

surely they are enemies to me , but not ( so ) the lord of the worlds ;
« እነሱም ( ጣዖቶቹ ) ለእኔ ጠላቶች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ግን የዓለማት ጌታ ሲቀር ( እርሱ ወዳጄ ነው ) ፡ ፡

seek help with patience and prayer ; this is indeed an exacting discipline , but not to the humble ,
በመታገስና በሶላትም ተረዱ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ( ሶላት ) በፈሪዎች ላይ እንጅ በሌላው ላይ በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡

we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
በሁሉ እንገፋለን እንጂ አንጨነቅም፤ እናመነታለን እንጂ ተስፋ አንቆርጥም፤

they zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
በብርቱ ይፈልጉአችኋል፥ ለመልካም አይደለም ነገር ግን በብርቱ ትፈልጉአቸው ዘንድ በውጭ ሊያስቀሩአችሁ ይወዳሉ።

but not those who themselves believe and work righteous works , and enjoin upon each other the truth , and enjoin upon each other endurance .
እነዚያ ያመኑትና መልካሞችን የሠሩት ፣ በእውነትም አደራ የተባባሉት ፣ በመታገስም አደራ የተባባሉት ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡

help yourselves ( in your affairs ) with patience and prayer . it is a difficult task indeed , but not for the humble ones
በመታገስና በሶላትም ተረዱ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ( ሶላት ) በፈሪዎች ላይ እንጅ በሌላው ላይ በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡

when we said to the angels , ‘ prostrate before adam , ’ they prostrated , but not iblis : he refused .
ለመላእክትም ለአዳም ስገዱ ባልን ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ሰገዱም ፤ ኢብሊስ ብቻ ሲቀር እምቢ አለ ፡ ፡

i allowed you to consume the pure sustenance which we had given you but not to become rebels , lest you become subject to my wrath . whoever becomes subject to my wrath will certainly be destroyed .
እኔም ለተጸጸተ ፣ ላመነም ፣ መልካምንም ለሠራ ፣ ከዚያም ለተመራ ሰው በእርግጥ መሓሪ ነኝ ፡ ፡
