and they say : lo ! this is mere magic ;
ይላሉም « ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and say , " this is not but obvious magic .
ይላሉም « ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

it and say , " it is only plain magic " .
ይላሉም « ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and said , “ this is nothing but magic from the past .
አለም « ይህ ( ከሌላ ) የሚቀዳ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and said : " this is nothing but the magic of old ,
አለም « ይህ ( ከሌላ ) የሚቀዳ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and said : this is naught else than magic from of old ;
አለም « ይህ ( ከሌላ ) የሚቀዳ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

when the truth from us came , they called it simply magic .
ከእኛም ዘንድ እውነቱ በመጣላቸው ጊዜ « ይህ በእርግጥ ግልጽ ድግምት ነው » አሉ ፡ ፡

and they say : this qur 'an is naught but magic manifest .
ይላሉም « ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and said , " this is not but magic imitated [ from others ] .
አለም « ይህ ( ከሌላ ) የሚቀዳ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and if they see a miracle they turn aside and say : transient magic .
ተዓምርንም ቢያዩ ( ከእምነት ) ይዞራሉ ፡ ፡ ( ይህ ) « ዘውታሪ ድግምት ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

then said he : " this is nothing but magic , derived from of old ;
አለም « ይህ ( ከሌላ ) የሚቀዳ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

who would drive you out of your land by his magic . now what counsel ye ?
« ከምድራችሁ በድግምቱ ሊያወጣችሁ ይፈልጋልና ምንን ታዛላችሁ » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡

and if they behold a sign , they turn away and say : " magic continous "
ተዓምርንም ቢያዩ ( ከእምነት ) ይዞራሉ ፡ ፡ ( ይህ ) « ዘውታሪ ድግምት ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

but when our tokens came unto them , plain to see , they said : this is mere magic ,
ተዓምራታችንም ግልጽ ኾና በመጣቻቸው ጊዜ « ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት ነው » አሉ ፡ ፡

and when they had cast , moses said : that which ye have brought is magic . lo !
( ገመዶቻቸውን ) በጣሉም ጊዜ ሙሳ አለ ፡ - « ያ በርሱ የመጣችሁበት ነገር ድግምት ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ ያፈርሰዋል ፡ ፡ አላህ የአጥፊዎችን ሥራ ፈጽሞ አያበጅምና ፡ ፡ »
